Great vegan place - Edit
We ordered a Philly cheesesteak, a kids, mac & cheese, and a corn appetizer. Philly cheesesteak and the kids mac & cheese were amazing. Personally I was expecting either baby corn or corn pieces in the corn appetizer so that was a bit disappointing and it felt a little blend. However, when he asked for the hot sauce, they gave us a perfect hot sauce, which was not too spicy, but added just the right amount of flavor to the Philly cheesesteak. If you ever need in send one, this would be a place to go

Menu not available - Edit
This place has no physical menus. The reception inside the restaurant was very poor. Their wifi is password protected and the password is not posted anywhere. I had to ask the server. She told it to me. I entered it in and still could not connect. It wasn’t a password that would be easy to remember in either English or Spanish. At that point, we just gave up and ate at the food truck court 1 block east, which was fine.

Cons: No physical menu, Poor signal in restaurant , Password on WiFi, difficult to connect
JoseR.Vallenilla
Last night the password was changed. Host was not aware of this. We apologize! We do not use physical menus. We’re always creating. So it’s not practical. Hope you give us another chance. The menu is great once you can access. But the food truck park is great. Glad you could eat! ❤️

Pros: The only pro is the art and seating area.
Cons: It’s a vegan place but they don’t have veggies???, 3 dollars just for a tiny cup of pico de gallo. , Paid for beans and rice, but beans were missing.
LliguerPR96
The reason they dont usually work with a lot of vegetables is because their vision of offering food is comfort vegan food, they say "we fool carnivores" so they offer a lot of vegan meats.
Read moreAnd yes, the rice & beans/peas, we've told them to fix it multiple times, cause it's dry/undercooked so they need to cook it a little more time, but idky they havent changed it yet.

While we got our sandwiches delivered via DoorDash (don’t recommend!), our sandwiches were delightful after a long day of travel. Bread was soggy due to delivery, so if you can, try to visit the restaurant to dine.

Nice to try vegan local food! - Edit
Stick to the local food, my sister insisted on ordering a quesadilla and it was not very good. The fan favorites were all delicious though. Service was lacking, once we got our food they never came back over and we really wanted some sauces. The HP mix plate was the best!

Set the bar - Edit
100% HP is a large space (it’s also a funky and fun gallery) and it was pretty empty when we got there, but people trickled in, including a group of 12 (there’s plenty of seating).
Read moreWe got the mixed plate with “carne” and a “cheese” and a “meat” empanada. This was our first meal in PR since landing a few hours before. The flavor and texture of the carne (good amount), red beans (it’s a small cup—I wanted more) and rice were exceptional. I wish I could recreate it! The fried empanadas were a good size.
This meal was very satisfying and set the bar high for eating vegan Puerto Rican food!

¡Fantástico! - Edit
This is by far one of the best exclusively vegan spots in the world. Comida criolla 100% vegana que ni te das cuenta que es vegana. 100% comida buenísima. If you are in Puerto Rico it’s a must. The neighborhood is super cool too so a walking tour of the murals is the perfect post meal activity.

100% recommended - Edit

I came on a recommendation and left impressed. It was one of the few places where I found vegan alcapurria, and it was DIVINE. I went with my Puerto Rican husband and my mother-in-law, and they were both impressed by how perfectly they nailed the traditional Puerto Rican flavor—truly living up to their name, 100% Hecho de Plantas. I had La Mixta with sautéed “steak” and onions, and it was amazing. My husband had the avocado stuffed with arroz mamposteado (his favorite), and he said it was one of the best he’s had—second only to his grandma’s, of course. The place is also an art gallery, surrounded by beautiful artwork.
My only complaint is that they could make more of an effort to reduce plastic use—we were given individually wrapped plastic utensils. Other than that, the atmosphere and service were top-notch.

Safe Haven, Delicious Food - Edit
Tonight was my 3rd visit this week on a short work trip. 100% HP has been a safe haven in San Juan, as I found it difficult to find many other filling options nearby. My 3 trips were delivery, dine-in, and pick up, and all three went smoothly! Staff was polite, knowledgeable, and bilingual with Spanish and English.
Read moreBetween my visits, I tried the Maui Monster Burger (10/10), Triple slider HP de choriburger y maduro a la BBQ (10000/10, the sauce and seasoning was delicious), the chicken fajita quesadilla (8/10, my only "complaint" was too much chicken, not enough veggies), and a chocolate milkshake (10/10).
The menu is bigger in person than it is online - milkshakes are not listed for delivery/PU, my guess is because of the hot weather. I was able to order when picking up and the waitress happily made it for me.
Very grateful for this staple!
Pros: Large menu, 100% vegan, fun vegan decor inside, Location

Room for improvement - Edit
During my most recent trip to Puerto Rico, we visited 100% HP on three different occasions. Of those 3 occasions, I would say only 1 of those visits was a pleasant one.
Read moreThe Food:
The menu is so extensive and large that you can order anything from traditional boricua dishes such as stuffed avocados with tostones to international fare such as chikn' lo-mein to comfort food like hamburgers and sliders.
We had a bit of all of that throughout our 3 visits and my impression was is that they really play their strengths when it comes to the more carnivorous foods such as sliders and hamburgers with fries or onion rings.
The not so good were the stuffed avocado plates where the "beef" was too salty and the tostones lacked proper seasonings or sauces to dip the food in. The stuffed papa was also okay as the potato portion was very plain and required some salt to make it edible.
The space:
This restaurant has a very large footprint and is in the heart of Santurce. I loved all the ridiculous pro-vegan signage everywhere along with the odd and abstract art of vegan celebrities all around. It made for a comfortable eating experience and the restaurant was very spacious.
The BAD:
The front of house staff was EXTREMELY RUDE despite the restaurant not being busy and approaching them with respect & compassion. In particular, one staff member because visibly and verbally upset during our first visit when I requested a few more napkins and that request was ignored so I attempted to grab them myself.
The 3rd time, this same staff member did not attend our table but I did have to approach her once about getting a to-go container for our food and she paused to look at me and roll her eyes. No response when I said thank you and just walked away while putting her airpods in her ear to avoid any further interactions with me.
Overall: 100% HP is a vegan haven for afternoon vegans in Puerto Rico as they have a lot of food that beats other options at that hour (burger king impossible meals) but the menu can benefit from being cut in half so they can focus more the quality of other meals. I feel very strongly about eating / being served food by individuals who have a disdain for you so I am unsure if I would visit 100% HP again on my will, especially if there are other options available.
Pros: Open when most vegan places are closed, Great burgers and milkshakes, Eccentric design for the restaurant space
Cons: Front of house staff! Extremely rude, Quantity over quality for the menu
JoseR.Vallenilla
Thanks

Uber Eats Delivers - Edit
I don't have a rental car because I'm only here for a few days as a mini vacation treat to myself.
Read moreThe hotel I'm staying at has some vegan food, but it isn't exciting or Puerto Rican at all.
I looked on Uber Eats and saw that 100% HP was on there so I ordered a couple of things.
They were delicious! I got the La Mixta HP and that was so delicious. The mock meat had a good texture and flavor that was irresistible. I poured the beans over the rice because I didn't have a spoon (hopefully that isn't something offensive to do in PR culture 😬). And I really enjoyed that as well. I had never had PR food before and it's great exploring the culinary culture with traditional foods made vegan.
I also had the Relleno de papa. The outside was very crispy and the inside of the potato was very soft. The relleno de papa is really filling and the definition of comfort food.
I will definitely be eating here the rest of my trip, even if it's only through Uber Eats. I'd love to see the actual restaurant too.
Pros: Delivery option through Uber eats , Huge portions , Flavorful
