A 37-acre subtropical botanical garden in the historic Redland, maintained and operated by Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation. Over 500 varieties of rare fruits, herbs, spices, and nuts from around the world including 80 varieties of bananas, 70 varieties of bamboo, 40 varieties of grapes, 50 varieties of mangoes, 15 varieties of jackfruit trees, and other exotic edibles are grown here. Visitors are invited to browse through the imported fruit products in the retail store. Merchandise available year round includes dried and canned fruit, juices, jams, jellies, aromatic teas, unusual seeds, cold fruit juices, cookbooks, gardening and reference books on tropical fruits and vegetables, and specialized horticultural supplies.
