6 Vegan / Vegetarian Friendly Restaurants
The city with the second largest population in Alaska, Fairbanks sprawls within the central interior region of the state. Fairbanks is very cold and snowy in the winter, often reaching -40* Fahrenheit, and routinely reaches 80* Fahrenheit in the summer during its 22 hours of daylight. A few restaurants offer well-prepared, quality vegan choices, and a few others can prepare good vegan meals upon request. Be sure to stock up at the co-op or grocery before traveling out of Fairbanks to another Alaskan destination, as the drive will be long before encountering the next vegan-friendly eatery or store.
