More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I'm an environmental scientist by profession, and an environmentalist by lifestyle, and I can't stress enough how damaging the meat and dairy industries are to the Earth. Every meal eaten without meat saves water, resources, fuel, and animals, and cuts our greenhouse gas emissions considerably, so I strive to eat a mostly vegetarian diet.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I travel a lot for work, and eat out often by necessity. Happy Cow, and specifically the app, make my life a lot less stressful on the road, by allowing me to always know where I can get a good vegetarian meal.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I love to travel, and haven't really visited a place I didn't like. I love going to new places, and find them exciting and worthy of exploration, no matter where. Favorite places I've been include Rome, Copenhagen, Kildare (Ireland), San Francisco, Vienna, Bratislava, Cayman Islands, Boulder, Colorado, and Montreal.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I love sauteed mushrooms. Truffled potatoes. YUM. Beet greens are awesome. I'm also really into coconut curries, and ethnic dishes made with coconut milk, which is one of my favorite flavors in the world.
