Plaça del vi 11, Girona, Spain
This place was amazing! Definitely a highlight of our trip. It was so cool to be able to come here and choose anything from the menu, because it's all vegan! We tried the chorizo and blue cheese tapas, and came back next day for lunch. I had an amazing seitan steak on a vegetable puree. The cheesecake and the ice cream were to die for. Best of all, they have a big selection of delicious locally brewed beers. The price was very reasonable, and the guy who served us was really friendly and helpful. I hope I can come back to gorgeous Girona and eat here again...

Yummy truffles and coffee
Cute chocolate cafe! Big range of vegan truffles (they are also gluten-free). The sea salt caramel truffles are amazing. Also love their vegan chocolate sorbet. Super friendly owner - she also told me she can make vegan advent calendars and vegan Easter bunnies to order. Lovely to have a vegan option in Brentford, there isn't much around here for vegans! You can also find her truffles at the Sunday market in Brentford.

This place was a highlight of our trip to Tokyo! Seriously amazing vegan food. The vegan items are clearly marked out from the vegetarian ones. We ordered delicious things like eggplant and mushroom pasta, a Korean-style tofu salad, pizza with vegan cheese, vegan tiramisu and soy coffee. My favourite part was the wide choice of vegan desserts. Come here!!

The best vegan food in Japan!
It's pretty hard to find vegan food in Japan, so I feel very lucky to have found this amazing restaurant! Tell the owner you're vegan and she will modify the dishes for you.
The owner, Yoshiko, is super lovely. She explains what each dish is, and the ingredients are organic and mostly locally sourced. You get a drink, rice, miso soup, and the other dishes change every day. We had an amazing vege 'fish' steak, a dish of tofu and veg wrapped in cabbage, inari stuffed with tofu, a kind of Japanese potato, and dessert was fruit and mochi. Sooo yummy, healthy and filling! The set menu is about 1500 yen I think, very good value for all the food you get.
The cafe is very cosy and homey. Afterwards, the owner gave us kitchen scraps to feed the deer and took us in her car to show us the best spots of Nara park and Toda-ji temple. Thank you Yoshiko!! If you're in Japan, you have to come to magical Nara and eat at Kinatei!! It's about 10 minutes walk from JR Nara station.

If you're visiting Tokyo and only have time to visit one veggie restaurant, I'd recommend this place! Seriously, it is vegan heaven. They even have vegan mayo and french toast! Vegan bread is hard to find in Japan, so when I saw the whole shelf of bread and pastries and found out it was all vegan I went a bit crazy with excitement.
Menu is in Japanese, but the super lovely staff will translate for you. You get a lunch set of either curry, soy hamburger, soup or french toast, and it comes with a huge bread basket with even a mini croissant!! There is a little grocery attached with hard to find veggie items you can take away. This place is amazing!! To get here go to Umegaoka station and take the south exit, it's about a 10 minute walk.

cheap and cheerful
This place was great to fuel up before an afternoon of sightseeing. You can get falafels in pita bread for a few euros and load it up with all the toppings, like olives, carrots, tomatoes, pickles and chilli sauce. There's not much seating so we went and ate ours in the view of the Notre Dame - bliss. It can get quite busy and chaotic so don't expect silver service, but when it's filling, tasty and cheap, what more do you need?

map is wrong.
This map is really wrong. I walked around Kofu for ages trying to find it. Later I looked on the cafe's website, it looks like it's in a completely different town. Sad, I would love to go here!

Lots of vegan products
This place was great! We came here on a rainy day and the friendly staff gave us a free green tea sample. It`s a grocery store, not a cafe/restaurant, but we found lots of vegan products. I stocked up on tea, chocolate, vegan mayo and margerine, veggie meat, and vegan bread (hard to find in Japan!). Staff didn`t speak English but understood what vegan means in Japanese. They checked the ingredients for me to make sure the items I chose were vegan. Would really recommend this place.
