have to agree

I found this joint pretty dirty for Vietnam, just no one had swept for a while I think, but its not like you'd contract hep C from a dirty floor. the food was as noted above, cold greasy mock meats, some good tastes, some that tasted like chunks of soy protein had been left on the floor of the fish market. friendly service though and pretty cheap- 10.000VND

Tuna sandwiches to die for
26 Mar 2011
The Loving Hut in Haeundae is fantastic. I've been to three different Loving Huts and although I love them all the Haeundae one is my favorite. They have the best fake tuna sandwiches. They are completely vegan and have lovely staff and delicious sides. They are a little pricey but worth every won. I HIGHLY reccommend this Loving Hut.

This place has a nice setting by the river a little out of Hoi An on the way to the tourist beach which is good but the important part is the food. The food I found OK; some healthy options. I went back twice because I like to support totally veg places more than veg/non-veg ones, however, I have found some of the veg/non-veg places to serve the same standard of food cheaper.

Over priced and tasty

Don't go hungry. We had two mains for lunch (89,000 & 79,000vnd). The first dish was a small plate of vegetables with a vinaigrette: four slices of carrot, four slices of cucumber, two cherry tomatoes quartered, two lettuce leaves, two basil mint leaves and four - five slices of pineapple. The flavours were well balanced and the plate was well presented.
The second was the tofu caprese. It was 8 small slices of tofu with a slice of cucumber and tomato on each. It was topped with some basil and a balsamic vinaigrette. Again, quite tasty, but I did feel like asking if there was more to come when the dish came out.
Kay Vegan Bistro is on a quiet alley. The atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant is clean. The music was a short playlist of dreary saxophone. The service was very friendly.
For the same price, you can eat at some top veg restaurants in the city. For cheaper, you can eat at equally tasty places with wider menus that are on the same block (San May, Tib Chay...)

good value and service

This place is great value and has a good menu (if limited) menu.Everything on the menu is 5,00 won: Tangsu; deep fried mushrooms in sweet sauce with capsicum and zuchinni (they did go a little heavy on the cornstarch for my taste), a fantastic bibimbap with loads of mixed sprouts and shredded ganyip (perilla), a massive homemade cutlet (with a good selection vegetables on the side), sesame noodles and iced noodles. The side dishes are plentiful and fantastic, really fresh.
A little far from central jeonju but certainly worth it. It's near the river, down the road from Tous Le Jours, past the park and next to Hang gan apartments.

hit and miss

We've eaten here so many times because it is in a central location, but I have to say despite the servers' great service, the place is pretty average. The food is pretty bland in general, every now and then a meal comes out which is really tasty, but far too often, it's just not worth it. The meals can take more than 45 minutes to arrive as well. This place is generally clean. The music is Buddhist chants and there are large paintings around the downstairs restaurant.
One other thing is the parking guys outside can be pretty frosty and often try to get you to pay even though you don't have to. But the friendly staff inside make up for that.

Potpouri Vegan Friendly?
24 Apr 2011
Owned and operated by meat eaters and located on the tourist promenade that leads from Dunedin's "wedding cake" railway station to the Octagon, this cafe/restaraunt is definitely one I would recommend visiting after considering the other options that are available in town.
The food is a homely blend of salads, egg, cheese and butter saturated baking (excluding the vegan date scone). You can also choose from a selection of main dishes (priced between 8$ - 14$), although, a lot of the mains taste very similar, they have a good mexican bean pie at times.
The cafe has a pleasant atmosphere, expensive coffee, environmentally unfriendly take-away utensiles and packaging. Sometimes, it closes around 3 pm.

large menu, healthy and tasty

I've been here many times and it has been consistently good. There is a mountain of food to choose from. A real comfortable atmosphere, nice couches and chairss, dinky midi renditions of western pop songs play on repeat. The service is good. Floor staff are attentive and always refill table water/iced tea. mains are typically between 49,000 - 79,000 VND. Hot pots are about 130,000 - 250,000.
The menu's a mix of Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and Western cuisine and despite the large menu, everything I've had there has been delightful.
They also have a really good value for money breakfast combo (59,000)

this place was pretty sweet, not exactly what I'd call healthy (a little on the greasy side) but with a pretty wide menu mostly based on mock meats and quick service. Average sushi at best. It has a nice atmosphere up stairs and you can get baguettes out the front for 10.000 dong.

swanky good food

this place has great food, professional service and a modern sleek style like you find on waterfronts in the west. You pay a little extra for the food which is rich, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.

Good food, great prices
20 Aug 2011
The people here were awesome and considering that this restaurant is in Patpong, it was really cheap, pretty much average prices for the rest of Thailand (around 25 bath per meal).
I would definitely recommend the 'fish', it was delicious.
To get there from Patong beach area; head up the road out/in to town and walk past the mosk and the school. It's on the right had side walking away from Patong.
