We had a great dinner here. The prices are very reasonable, the food is great & the drinks are fab too! I can highly recommend the vegan garlic bread & the ice-cream (the best I've ever tasted - even better than any dairy ice-cream I've ever tried!) highly recommended - try it!

What a cool place!

Went to Better burger last December. The chelsea branch was very cool, packed with beautiful people, and the air-baked fries were so delicious I couldn't believe they were healthy! The salad I had was ok, nothing special

Good value in central London

This place does get really busy, but the food is delicious and good value, especially for the location. The thalis always look delicious, and the desserts are good too!

Gorgeous food & a bargain too!

15 Sep 2006

We spent two days in Barcelona & ate there both times, food was gorgeous, but as previously mentioned quite a lot service is quite slow & they forgot to bring us a couple of items (just as well as we'd overordered anyway!). It is well worth waiting for though, and the menu of the day is unbelievably good value. My boyfriend, a meat lover, loved the food as much as I did. Definitely go there, but don't go in a rush!

Fab little place

I love the One Earth Shop, the owners are really friendly, they have great stock & it's really handy for the city centre too. Everything is vegan - including the fresh counter where you can buy a snack/lunch to keep you going. The owners are happy to order items in for you too. Fab!

I love Teany!

17 Oct 2006

I've been to Teany 3 times - once last July & twice last December. The food is always yummy & the staff seemed helpful. The Teany turkey club sandwich is delicious! The outside terrace is also fab in the summer - you must visit here when in NYC (just round the corner from the fab vegan shoe shop Moo Shoos too :) )

A great market!

I love the greenmarket - the produce is great all year round & it's great to buy direct from the farmers. This market made me want to live in NYC!

So much choice!

10 Aug 2009

My vegan boyfriend & I discovered this place a couple of weeks ago & have already been back! The choice is fantastic for vegans (items on the menu are marked if they're NOT suitable for vegans - how refreshing!) & the food is delicious! Make room for the starters as they are delicious, although everything we've tried has been great! The service is patchy - they were really friendly once & quite unfriendly once - but with food & prices like that we didn't mind too much. It's also BYO. Highly recommended. It's been very busy on both occasions so I'd recommend booking a table.

I love cafe maitreya! I have been squillions of times over the years, for birthdays, valentines and just because & I enjoy it every time. The owner Rob is lovely, the staff are always great & the food is inventive & always delicious. The food is seasonal & locally sourced. It's a shame they stopped opening during the day as breakfast/lunch there was always fab but evenings are the real highlight

My favourite restaurant in the world!

17 Oct 2006

I love Manna. The food is gorgeous, with a brilliant selection for Vegans. My Omnivore boyfriend says it is his favourite restaurant in the world too :) I had the chef's salad which was awesome - a taste sensation on a plate. The desserts were great too. It's a little pricey - but worth it for a treat. Definitely go here if you're in London. Madonna, Stella McCartney, Moby & Gwyneth Paltrow have all been spotted here :)

Gorgeous food, fab views, lovely owners!

23 Sep 2009

We just spent a long weekend at Michael House & loved it. The owners Vanessa & Simon are great hosts, the food is brilliant & the house itself is a relaxing & beautiful space. Prices are very reasonable too. Vegans are very well catered for & there is the option of a full cooked breakfast every morning if you would like one. You can choose from Linda McCartney sausage, Potato rosti, Beans, Tomato, Mushrooms, and for non-vegans fried halloumi & eggs any style you like, plus toast, cereals etc!
You would think after such a breakfast you wouldn't be hungry again that day but it's amazing what a long coastal walk does for the appetite! We enjoyed 2 evening meals at Michael House & enjoyed delights such as Coconut & Carrot soup, Seared Tofu with fresh local vegetables & Chocolate Torte!
Don't expect to go home slimmer than you left, but I can't recommend this place highly enough! (The wine is great too!)

Healthy oasis

17 Oct 2006

This is a great health food shop, focusing on organics. They sell great sandwiches, salads & drinks too - with a nice eat in area at the front. It gets very busy at lunchtimes.

Love this place

The Warehouse Cafe is great. I'm a regular here & have introduced omnivore friends who have also been recommending it to others. Very close to the city centre, the food is great with good vegan options & the drink selection is great. It's BYO which is also very handy and all the food I've tried has been superb. They're also happy for you to come in just for a drink when they're not too busy. It's an oasis of calm & yumminess & the staff are fab.

A brilliant little shop

17 Oct 2006

This little shop in Warwick has an amazing selection of products: health food, supplements, books & even fresh fruit & veg. The staff are lovely too. Definitely worth a visit - I wish I lived closer!
