One of the Best!

06 Jun 2007

Angelica's is one of my favorite places to go when I am in the city. The service can be slow, but the food makes up for it. They have great specials, everything is seasonal and organic. Yum!

Simply the Best!

09 Mar 2007

Candle 79 is my all time favorite vegan restaurant! The service is wonderful and the food is simply amazing! The presentations of each dish are an artistic masterpiece. The ever changing seasonal menu always features a wonderful tempe or setan dish that is both hearty and elegant.

Yummy Food and Wine

06 Jun 2007

Candle cafe is a great place to relax with some friends and grab a bite to eat. The food is always great and they have a wonderful selection of organic wines and beer.

Additionally they also have a bar where you can just sit down and have a snack and a drink if you prefer.

Great Live Food!

06 Jun 2007

Caravan of Dreams has a unique menu of both live and cooked organic dishes. Try their Macrobiotic Platter, a juice or a smoothly. Wonderful deserts... You will always leave this place feeling great!

One of the Best!

14 Sep 2007

A group of vegan friends and I went to dinner here one night. It was a simply splendid experience. We ordered a wide range of appetizers and dinners, complemented with bread and coconut rice. Everything was soooo good! The dining room is a BYOB, but when we ran out of wine they offered to bring us some from the banquet hall. The staff was wonderful at explaining to us what was vegan and what wasn't. I plan to visit this place again in the near future!

Old Veg City Diner

06 Jun 2007

But not nearly as good. I was so excited when Veg City Diner was re-opening, but Curley's is not nearly as good. Part of what made Veg City so great was the hours, Curley's is NOT open that late, so please call beforehand. They still serve Vegan Treats deserts, which are super yummy.. The Food is still good. However, the place is rather small now.

Worth the Money

03 Jul 2007

Horizons features some of the best 'Home Made' vegan food around. I was rather upset when Down to Earth closed in Red Bank, NJ. If you like that place Horizons is worth the drive. The service was great, the sangria was quite tasty and the food was mouth watering! I am looking forward to my next visit. Don't forget to save room for desert.

If you are in the mood for junk food...

06 Jun 2007

This is the place to go. Wonderful vegan comfort food. My favorite would be the club sandwich. Great place to go and hang out with your friends and have a bite that is a little more affordable in the city. However, if you are a vegan like me, it does make the menu more limited.

Something to Dream About...

06 Jun 2007

My mouth waters when I think of their falafal and eggplant sandwiches. I live in New Jersey and a trip down there for the sandwich alone is worth the haul.

Great Food, Great Price!

09 Mar 2007

I was quite amazed the amount of wonderful food I received for a great price. I paid 11 euro for a wholesome hot meal and two salads. The staff was nice and helpful. I do advise if you are not going alone to have one of your parties get a seat before you go up to get your food or you might not have one.

Good food, Not a lot of choices...

09 Mar 2007

Govinda's features great food and (1) vegan dish a day a long with their regular menu which is quite small. Your choices here will be limited.

Great Food, Poor Service

06 Jun 2007

The food here is good, but the service was not the best. Additionally they will sit you right next to another table even if the whole place is empty. I do not know if that bothers you or not, but when we asked to be moved to another table they refused.

A nice place for a light lunch

16 Aug 2007

Harvest Table offers a few great vegetarian and vegan selections. They make home made hummus, offer a great selection of smoothies... They offer a vegan veggie burger, a portabello mushroom burger, a middle eastern dish, and even some vegan baked goods! Harvest Table delivers and you can call ahead for pick up. The staff is super friendly and they even offer special events!

A Must Visit!!!

Health Foods is a must visit in the Newark area. They offer a wide array of vegan sandwiches to go, fresh juices... Wheat grass... Vegan cookies, and a great amount of groceries.

Comforting Vegan Food!

09 Mar 2007

Kaya's Kitchen offers wonderful vegan delights such as Gluten Parm and Spinach Quesadillas, not to mention their French Onion Soup is mouth watering. My advise it to get there early. They can get pretty packed and then the service is slow. On the weekends you can enjoy great music from a jazz band while having your wonderful meal!

Try a tasty wrap!

03 Jul 2007

In walking distance to UMASS Lowell this tasty cafe is a must try. Brown rice, fresh steamed veggie, marinated tofu, homemade sauces, feel free to create your own wrap. Fresh squeezed juices and wheat grass add the perfect touch to their light, yet filling meals. Vitamins are also available for purchase and other natural health items.

Oh yes, the best!

06 Jun 2007

This place is simply wonderful! I had my best falafal ever there... It is not far from the Ritz movie theater, perfect for picking up a sandwich and going to catch a flick! Yum!

Wonderful Atmosphere and Great Food!

20 Jun 2007

The Twisted Tree has a wonderfully unique atmosphere in addition to having great food. It it earthy and homely... Mostly wooden n appearance like it's name, but also comfortable with cushy couches.

The smoothies are great and they have a nice menu selection.
