2 St James St, Sheffield, England
tasty food but moody staff

visited this cafe today. good location, very central. nice open-plan layout with lots of advertisements of things going on in the area and events. i ordered 2 different types of vegan pasties- £2.20 each. The food was good but not amazing. The bigger lunch options all cost just over £6 and you get salad too. The guy serving was very moody and didn't seem to care whether i bought the food or not. Disappointing seeing as everything else about the place is good.

great food, great setting

i had a juice made from carrots, beetroot, apples and ginger, which was delicious. the chia-cacao porridge was also fantastic and innovative. set in a grand building with lots of space, the setting is lovely and airy. one minor problem was the fact that they were having delivery issues (we went at 12 and they couldn't make most of the things on the menu as their stock hadn't arrived). still, that aside, go now before this place really takes off.

Top veggie food in the heart of the city

It was so good we came back for more. The restaurant offers buffet-style food, much of which is vegan, with gf options as well. Great variety of food- verified by the fact that we came back the night after and the entire menu had changed! Colourful, flavoursome and super location. All very reasonably priced as well!

tasty food and great shop but overpriced

the food was really good and flavoursome, however, it cost me £6 for lunch that wasn't really that filling and I didn't even have a drink. friendly people. has sort of a old school canteen style feel going on. not sure if this is intentional. anyway, thought the interior could be improved. the shop is top-notch and has everything you need.

the definition of a hidden gem

it'll definitely take you a while to find this place but when you do, you'll realise it was worth the backstreet quest!
we had the set menu, which at 70 Kuna is comparable to the other restaurants in the region. and this is essentially for a LARGE 2-course meal with sides. soup to start followed by a wide range of different grains, tofu and veg for main. enthusiastic staff to match. you won't be disappointed. the desserts are top-notch too!
Prijeko bb, Dubrovnik, Croatia
the best (and only) veggie place in Dubrovnik

nestled cosily just off the main drag in Dubrovnik old town, this place served us up some of the best veggie food we've ever had. seriously good. the highlight has got to be the softened fig with cinnamon mascarpone for desert. full of flavour and far too moorish. the chocolate fondant was great too, with plenty of fruit to dip in, just about blunting its guilty edge.
also, you could really tell it meant a lot to the owners that we enjoyed their food. food coked with passion and love i would say. they gave us a stone with 'hvala' (thanks) written on and a smiley face- nice touch.
if in Dubrovnik, GO HERE!!

the veggie food here is truly some of the best i've ever had. the meals are all complex and mix together a variety of flavours, that all come together perfectly. cannot fault the flavour of the food in any way.
decor slightly lacking in imagination. bland and uninspiring. don't think this place attracts much spontaneous trade.
also, beware of the stingy portions of dip!! it's delicious but they don't give enough!
