Small selection for vegans, but very tasty!
This was a very sweet little place with friendly staff but a small selection of vegan food. We got a vegetable stew without rice (because the rice had honey in it for some reason). It was delicious and very flavourful, but without rice it wasn't quite a complete and filling meal. On the plus side, the waiter was very helpful in explaining our options and making sure we were happy with our meal and had enough time to eat without feeling rushed. It was a pleasant experience, but vegans will likely want more choices.

Really creative vegetarian/vegan food. Lots of options and absolutely beautiful presentation. The desserts were incredible as well. Quite expensive, but I would definitely recommend for a date/special occasion/impressing visiting family.

Lovely Sunday Brunch!
I took my grandparents here for Sunday brunch last week and we all absolutely adored it. The brunch was a buffet and we tried everything on the menu, from the perfect peach and berry cobbler to the scrambled tofu and the Mediterranean lasagne. They even had agave for my grandma's tea, which she really loved. The whole thing was fantastic and I would highly recommend a visit. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food can't be beat.

Such a great little place! The food was excellent, the service was exceptionally friendly and helpful (especially with questions about vegan items), and the food was delicious. This even pleased my non-vegetarian family members.
Lunch specials are very cheap as well and come with soup. I would definitely recommend the General Tso's Soy and the Spring Rolls. Yum!

Delicious and affordable
Beautiful and upscale but very affordable. I had the mushroom risotto, which was delicious. Very good selection and very vegan-friendly. It's a wonderful place to stop in after a day of sightseeing, but it gets quite busy on the weekends. We managed to squeeze in early (around 6pm) without reservations, but if you're going to be much later than that I would recommend calling ahead.

Excellent little shop for those hard to find items
I have only been in there once looking for a few specific things: tempeh, nutritional yeast, Bragg's, and cruelty-free dental floss. Luckily, they had everything I was looking for, which are some admittedly difficult to find items at the regular grocery stores. The place is fairly small but the selection is fantastic. There's fresh produce up front, good atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of interesting little items. I especially like that they stock Ecover cleaning products as well. I would definitely recommend the store for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores looking for those harder to find items.

Excellent for vegetarians, only one vegan option
This was a lovely restaurant with caring and attentive waitstaff. The waiter was happy to answer all of my questions about their food, how it was prepared, ingredients, etc. The atmosphere was great, warmly decorated and it was conveniently located.
There was only one vegan option, a vegetable couscous, but it was delicious! I was also told that with a bit of advance notice (maybe 24 hours) you could speak with the chef about special dietary requests. *Fair warning though, I don't think anyone there spoke English.
As for vegetarians and omnivores, there were plenty of options. I would recommend checking their website which has an online menu. I went with a group of 5 people (of which I was the only vegan) and everyone was thrilled with their meals. The bread is also highly recommended and freshly baked.
As for cost, it was about what you would expect for an evening meal €15-35 depending on drinks, salads, choice of main course. I paid about €15 for my couscous, a bottle of water and bread which was more than enough to fill me up.

Small but decent selection
Fairly good selection of veg food. I found nutritional yeast, gluten flour, tempeh, Bragg's and a few other items that are sometimes hard to find in Kansas. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Oh so good!
Hands down my favourite place in Portland!
Lots of imaginative options and a lovely array of side dishes alongside more classic choices. My favourite is the platter with tempeh ribs, macnocheese and collard greens with molasses cornbread. The remoulade and barbecue sauces are amazing, too!
Daily specials like cajun eggplant po boys and pesto grilled cheese keep it interesting. And the minty lemonade is perfectly refreshing.
On top of the great food, everyone who works there is super nice and the service is always quick.
My love for this place knows no bounds!

Expensive but good
Nothing spectacular as far as the food, but it was good. The set menu was about 15 euros per person, with a bottle of water. The trouble is that it was not a lot of food. There was soup to start, some croquettes, shredded veggies and rice for the main, with tea at the end. It was tasty, but not tasty enough for the price. If you like a fancy place that serves small portions though, this would work for that purpose.

Delicious French Vegan Food!
This place is absolutely wonderful. We went there 3 times during our week in Paris. The service is exceptional! There were many vegan options, all of which were very clearly marked, the menu is in English as well as French and the staff is exceptionally helpful. The daily menu was always excellent (a Hungarian ghoulash, kohlrabi with pesto and eggplant moussaka on the days we were there). We also tried to seitan bourguignon a couple of times and it was perfect! For dessert, the soy cappuccinos are great: foamy and well-made. In our various visits we also had the vegan chocolate cake (very dense and rich), the vegan apple pie (so tasty) and the vegan chocolate mousse (light and perfect). And one particularly hot day, we were in the mood for ice cream. Although they didn't have any, the very kind waiter told us exactly where to find a chocolate soy gelato less than two blocks away. So kind! The place itself is also very cute, with a couple of tables outside for dining in nice weather and also a very clean bathroom.
Overall, it's a bit on the expensive side, but the food is incredible and the service was wonderful which makes it worth the price. Very highly recommended!

Well-priced and delicious
Very cute little cafe with outdoor as well as indoor seating. It was clean and the service was friendly, if not very fast. The food is delicious! We had the Feuilleté aux légumes and the quiche, both of which were excellent. They came with a very tasty side salad. We also got a couple of seitan sandwiches to go, which were perfect to eat later in the park. Overall, the food was very filling and seemed to be prepared with love. A very good experience and we would recommend this place.

Good food and friendly staff!
The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and calm. The staff is very attentive as well.
We had the fried won tons as a starter with some black pepper 'beef' stir fry and a spicy tofu dish. It was all really yummy. The portions were well-sized for the price.
There's a really wide selection of food with lots of rice dishes and some more American style burgers. They even have a desserts on the menu (cheesecake!) which I'll be trying next time.

Delicious and cheap!
This place is fantastic for cheap and yummy vegan food. The set menus for take-away are fantastic, with options like seitan/tofu burritos, veggie burgers or small portions of two main dishes. This comes with fries and soup or salad, as well as a drink for 8 euros. The chocolate cake is also scrumptious. The whole place is lovely. Highly recommended!
Fleischmarkt 16 im Hof, Vienna, Austria
I absolutely adored this little place. And I mean little. There is one large communal table and several smaller seating areas around the restaurant/shop. There are also a couple of tables outdoors, which were lovely. The kitchen is visible to everyone, so you can see what you're getting and how they make it.
The food was delicious. We went for lunch and it was a set menu. There was an option of a small or large portion. I went with the small and it was more than enough for lunch. The cost was about 8 euros and included soup to start, followed by a plate piled high with various vegan dishes. The ingredients were so fresh and you could tell they were made with love.
The two ladies working there were so friendly and patient with my poor language skills. Overall though, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was delightful. Highly recommended.

This adorable little place was everything you would want it to be: friendly, affordable and delicious. Everything is vegan and it's decorated in a warm, comfortable style. It's a little out of the way but well worth the extra 5-10 minute walk it takes to get there from the usual tourist spots. I had the Hungarian seitan and potatoes, which came with a side salad. It was delicious! My husband had a 'sausage' pizza which he described as the best vegan pizza he'd ever had. Highly recommended!

Worst Experience Ever
1. This restaurant is not even vegetarian. They have blood sausage, pork, chicken and fish on the menu. This is extremely misleading considering the only reason I chose the place was for it's supposed vegan-friendliness. It is appalling that their information is an outright lie.
2. They are NOT vegan-friendly. I asked which items were vegan and the waitress just said 'Nothing.'
3. I asked if the tempura sushi had egg in it. The waitress confirmed that it did, so I ordered veggie sushi without tempura. She then brought me the tempura fried sushi anyway. I sent it back, only to have the waitress bring the same plate back two minutes later, slam it on the table and declare that there was no egg in it.
4. We waited 45 minutes for them to bring us the bill after we had specifically asked for it.
Overall, absolutely awful. I would not recommend this place to anyone (vegan, vegetarian or otherwise).
I am giving it two cows because I can't give it any less but it deserves zero cows.

The staff was very helpful when I asked which of the menu items were vegan. I ended up having a burger with a bit of salad and fries. It was good. Nothing spectacular, but the setting is nice. Good for a simple lunch and then lots of time to see the garden centre.
