Divine teriyaki

16 Aug 2009

I went here with my partner and we tried the golden nuggets but we were shocked by the size. These things can be a meal within themselves! I definitely recommend them if you're really hungry otherwise it ends up a lot of food! I tried the teriyaki kabob plate and the queen's plate. Both were delectable and would totally win over any omnivore.

Tasty donuts

07 Sep 2011

I tried the salted caramel, strawberry, and meyer lemon donut. They were all very good and these are super dense donuts so you don't get hungry for a long time. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the price, these are super expensive! Oh well, they were worth it though and I'm glad I tried them.

Chickun Mole? Yes please!!

16 Aug 2009

As a Mexicana, one of the dishes I have missed is mole. I was so excited to try Cinnamon and I can honestly say that it met my expectations. The mole has a heavy cinnamon flavor in the beginning but towards the end you'll be able to taste the chocolate. The beans and rice were very tasty as well. If you're vegan and looking for authentic Mexican food, this is your joint!

Super expensive and not very flavorful

07 Sep 2011

I'm Mexican and from Southern Cali so I have very high expectations and this place missed the mark entirely. On top of that, it was more than I'm used to paying. I tried the mole enchiladas and the mole just seemed sweet without any of the complex hints of spices that are supposed to be in the background.

If you take the Bart and get off at 16th and Mission and you're from out of town you're going to be shocked at how bad the area looks so just make sure you have your directions ready before hand as someone had already said this is a rough area.

Worth a visit

01 Aug 2009

I love having this store so close. They have many vegan options- they carry Follow Your Heart Cheese, Tofutti ice cream, Amy's frozen meals, and etc. They also have tons of vitamins which is another nice perk. The only issue I have with Herbies is the terrible parking situation.

Authentic Vietnamese food!

02 May 2010

The Thai tea is absolutely delicious. Since going vegan, I haven't had Thai tea in ages so I was ecstatic! I ordered the crispy rice which was tasty and would definitely recommend it. The only thing I found weird was the mock meat used on that dish looks red. The other dish we has was the soy beef with egg rolls on top of vermecilli. Just a note that if you don't like lemon, you will hate this dish. Secondly, there was tons of peppermint which I also dislike but that's a quick fix. Just tell them not to put it in your
bowl if that is the case. Overall, this place had good food and was very cheap. For two teas, an appetizer, and two dishes it came out to $20 with tip. I will definitely be going back!

Deep dish pizza!

07 Sep 2011

This deep dish pizza is so amazing! Tons of daiya, spinach, garlic, and onion. It's seriously a great pizza but will leave you smelling awful from all the garlic. I would go as far as to say that no visit to San Francisco is complete without a Paxti's pizza.

The best orange chicken!

13 Aug 2009

I just went to the Wheel of Life this weekend and the food was so delicious. We ordered crispy spicy chicken, orange chicken, and spicy noodles. I was disappointed by the spicy noodles and would not order them again. They were really lacking flavor and the mock meat in them was just rubbery. That won't deter me though and I will continue going to this place.
