Veg-friendly Chinese restaurant
30 Jul 2016
I love eating here when I visit Bakersfield for fast Chinese food. Veg friendly menu items are the lo mien, mixed veggies and garlic tofu. You can choose between ordering a bowl of food or a larger box of food and the prices are reasonable ($4.84 for a vegetarian bowl and $8.49 for box of mixed veggies and garlic tofu

Cinnaholic Las Vegas is a big success!
07 Aug 2016
I love visiting Cinnaholic in Berkeley and was delighted when I heard they were opening a location in Las Vegas. I arrived their second day in business and was not disappointed! The staff is friendly, the cinnamon creations are inventive and if you don't want a full cinnamon roll, you can buy a mini roll (called a baby bun), buy a chocolate chip cookie, brownie or a day old cinnamon bun. If you love vegan sweets, definitely give this place a try!

Babycakes is but easy to enjoy
19 Nov 2012
Previous reviews say that Babycakes is hard to find but that wasn't the case for me;you can find it right after you pass the Lego Store. Babycakes is small in space but big on desert offerings and flavor. The only thing that I didn't like was that there's not set menu; one day they had donuts holes and the next day they didn't which was a little annoying. Overall, from the donut holes and cupcakes to the bread loaves and mini donuts, Babycakes is a great place for vegans and non vegans alike to satisfy their sweet tooth!

Vegan mac and cheese has arrived in Bakersfield!
06 Feb 2011
Me and my husband went to mac and cheeza recently and really enjoyed it. I loved that I was able to create my own personalized bowl of mac and cheese with two types of pasta to choose from,a variety of veggie choices (olives, mushrooms, etc.) as well as vegan sausage then have it covered in soy cheese. The only thing that kinda sucked is that their topping options are limited to either a cheese blend or spicy walnuts (my husband is allergic to nuts) but I was happy that I was able to substitute both of these for soy cheese. The soy cheese taste was a little different at first but overall, I was really happy with my food and we're planning to go there again real soon.

An great pizza alternative in Bakersfield
16 Apr 2013
In Bakersfield, most vegan pizza options tend to only be order a pizza with no cheese so I was pleasantly surprised when the staff at RedBrick said that they offer daiya cheese at their restaurant. At my first visit there, I order a veggie gourmet pizza topped with daiya and the fire roasted Italian bread sticks minus the cheese. The bread sticks were very soft and delicious and the pizza was extremely tasty. Although my mother-in-law (who's vegetarian)doesn't even like mushrooms on her pizza, she gobbled my vegan slices up and didn't even notice a difference. I'm definitely going back soon!

Since Chef Rafiyah-Joy Covington started cooking at Viva La Vegan Grocery store, my mouth has been delighted by vegan soul food as well as a delightful Thanksgiving vegan feast. Chef Rafiyah is extremely friendly, ready to answer any food questions you have prior to eating her food and her food is so tasty it will leave you speechless. I look forward to experiencing her bubbly personality and tasting her yummy food for many more year to come.

Grand Floridan is a surprising vegan treat
19 Nov 2012
Prior to going to Disney World, I looked at various vegan blogs regarding Disney World and read good reviews in reference to the Grand Floridan Cafe and Chef TJ's accommodating vegans for dinner. When I arrived there for breakfast, we were asked about allergies and dietary choices ( he's vegetarian and I'm vegan)and after this, the hostess told us the chef would come to our table to discuss food choices based on this information. I didn't expect much, probably oatmeal or fruit but surprisingly, Chef Johnathan presented me with a plate of Mickey Mouse waffles with hashbrown potatoes along with an entire block of tofu which he turned into an awesome tofu scramble. We left full the Grand Floridan full and happy. If you plan on going to the Grand Floridan, make sure you let the staff know that you're vegan and then be prepared for a delicious vegan treat!

Far away but worth the drive
08 Aug 2016
On my way out of Las Vegas, me and my husband decided to visit a new restaurant and stopped here. I like that there's a separate vegan menu. The employee at the restaurant was nice, helpful and friendly. When my husband told the employee about his nut allergy, the employee actually brought out the sausage they use to confirm with him that it was okay to eat. While it is a ways from Vegas, if you're ever driving near Henderson, definitely give try them out.

An vegan oasis in the Animal Kingdom?
20 Nov 2012
Prior to going to Sanaa, I was somewhat concerned about eating at a place at the Animal Kingdom considering my stance on animals and zoos. After dining at Sanaa, I was relieved to see how Disney World presented the animals in an African habitat and satisfied by the food we ate. Upon entering Sanaa, I was greeted by friendly staff and after I told them I was vegan, they sat us and told me that the chef would come and talk to us. Chef Angela was funny, polite and determined to make sure that our dining experience was memorable. She suggested appetizer and entree choices which were divine to say the least. I also really liked that the restaurant has individual menus for vegetarians and vegans. Although there are animals outside of Sanaa, I'm sure you could ask to be seated away from them if you wanted to. My husband said it best when he said that Sanaa isn't a zoo, when you eat there, you feel like a guest in the animal's home.

Vegenation offers variety of choices!
08 Aug 2016
Although me and my husband visit Vegas often, I would always forget to visit Vegenation but today I made sure to stop by and try them out. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and given menus to look over. Since my husband has a severe nut allergy, I was glad to see that all dishes that contained nuts were clearly marked in the menu. My husband informed our server of his nut allergy and asked which menu item he would choose in light of this. While at the the restaurant, we enjoyed lemonade with coconut water chia seeds, Save the Tuna vegan sushi, a vegan meatball sandwich named Daniel Negreanu after the famous poker player and East West Korean jackfruit tacos. The food was tasty, our sever was friendly and attentive and we'll definitely eat there again when we visit Vegas.
