I've been several times and always enjoyed the food and service. I really love the raw menu, even though I am not a raw foody. The chef always comes out and acknowledges the guests which is a nice touch. It's great to know that when I got to Au Lac I am eating super healthy and delicious food!

This place uesd to be called "OK Burger", now it's ok vegan food. I really wanted to like it better, I've been twice and tasted four different dishes...Crispy Chicken Wrap, Parmasean Chicken Sandwich,TVP Meatball Sub, and the Chicken Burger. All were kind of bland, I feel really bad saying this as I really want this place to succeed, but it's true. The best part was the sweet potato tots. I will go back when I'm in a pinch, and also to try a desert(the Whoopie Pie sounds really good). As a side note I wish they had healtier bread options....I know this isn't supposed to be healthy food but I prefer the taste and texture of whole grain breads to white.

tasty and casual
The food is always fresh and tasty. I love the seedy salad and the seitan chicken. It's really casual, order at the counter and grab a table. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait at peak lunch time. It's the only vegan joint in Long Beach and they strive to use local, organic ingredients and are committed to animal rights and environmentalism. A business worth supporting!

Busy Breakfast Joint
One vegan breakfast option made up of a plate of potatoes, black beans, soyrizo, spinach and other veggies. Pretty yummy with their array of fresh salsas and corn tortillas. Great coffee and service too. Probably not very healthy but a nice treat for those breakfast dates with your meat/egg eating friends.

Nice addition to Wrigley neighborhood.
Great soy latte and soy chai latte. I also tried the vegan sausage sandwich with mustard and kraut and the garden bagel. Both vegan and a quick, tasty and filling lunch/breakfast. They also have a vegan pot pie and vegan baked goods that look delish. Cute decor, and great music, and most importantly, great service.

Fresh and yummy in Wrigley neighborhood
All vegan Thai. The Coconut and Hot and Sour Soups were delicious and we enjoyed the Drumsticks and Spring Rolls as well. The Orange Chicken was good but a bit on the tough side. Service was great and I'll definitely be back.

Great Veggie Pho
The Veggie Pho is delicious! Great clean space and great service. I'd give them 5 smiling cows if they didn't serve meat.

Great market and deli
I finally made it! I live in Long Beach so it's a bit of a drive but I did a hike in the Mt. Washington neighborhood so Organix was a no brainer for the post hike lunch. I had the Piscapo Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with avo and it was super yummy. The three people I was with are part time vegetarians and were very happy with their meals as well. I did some shopping too, they have a great selection of Miyoko's vegan cheeses, and other hard to find products. I wish I lived closer but will definitely be back!

Fresh Cashew Milk
Good array of vegan and gluten free baked goods, great coffee/espresso drinks offering soy, almond, and a delicious creamy fresh cashew milk option. The vegan sandwich on the menu sucks, a couple of bland slabs of tofu, a couple of mushroom slices and little else, mostly bread. A total disappointment since the description on the menu sounds delicious.

So good, I had the raw tacos and my my friend had the breakfast burrito. Both were delicious and fresh. The French Press coffee was great also. Really wanted ice cream but was was too full, next time for sure!

Great little store!
I discovered Vitamin City when I was living in the Lakewood Village area of Long Beach. I assumed that it was a GNC type of place based on the name and probably never would have gone in if someone wouldn't have told me that it is a full blown health food store. Great prices on some of the same things I used to buy at Whole Foods, extensive collection of herbal and vitamin supplements, eco-friendly household and personal products, lot's of vegan and gluten free food items, and a friendly staff. My only complaint is that the produce is often old. Over all I'm glad I found Vitamin City.
