I highly recommend the All Good Bakery. Three of us enjoyed a variety of items for brunch and they were all excellent. I had the 'corned beef' hash with seitan -- very very nice.
The seating area was small but there was no wait for a table. Stop by and enjoy this hidden gem in Albany.

Wide ranging menu that is 100% vegan. Yes the seating is limited, but the food is awesome and the portions are very generous.
My favorite place in Albany!

Great food and a funky vibe
There are lots of vegan options at Sparky Town and plenty of welcoming, funky vibe to make for a very enjoyable dining experience.
The restaurant space is rather small, but nicely furnished with works by local artists and they often have live music from local musicians. There is only street parking, but I've never had a problem finding a spot.
I love their hummus and homemade pita -- that's my go to appetizer. Dinner for me is usually the Tofu Scramble -- a nice helping of tofu with zucchini and carrots over greens.
PS: I feel bad that I can only rate this restaurant 4 cows as it is non-vegan. It is certainly deserving of 5 cows!

Excellent Vegan Fare
Limited menu, but everything is awesome. I had the macaroni and cheese with a spicy red juice. Very large portions and the prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming -- I'll be going back!

Not worth the effort
I stopped at Le Pain Quotidien around 3pm on a Tuesday and I was the only person in the place. which is fine since I assume it is more of a breakfast/lunch deal. I had the spicy hummus sandwich and a cup of coffee for $11. The sandwich was good but not worth the price.
The big issue is the service. I was made to feel most unwelcome. When I asked for a glass of water, since the spicy hummus was rather spicy, the waitress actually scowled at me. I won't be going back.

My new favorite restaurant.
Just fabulous. Great food, friendly wait staff, large portions, super quick service and very reasonable prices. Two of us shared 2 appetizers and 2 entrees, then split a piece of awesome cheesecake -- total bill: $45. I'll be going back again!

... I have nothing new to add.
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said about the Spiral Diner. It is awesome. Fun vibe and great good in a semi-bohemian environment. Check it out when you are in Dallas (and order the Viva la Mingas)

Good place for lunch
I stopped in on a sunday afternoon and was quite pleased. They offer a nice array of smoothies and juices, along with some baked goods and sandwiches.
