Cru is pretty good. It's expensive for the portion size (as most raw places are), but the dessert are totally worth it. If you're looking for raw food on the east side, definitely the (only) place to go!

Pure Luck is great. The BBQ sandwich is incredible, and the fried pickles!!! Oh man, the fried pickles... so delicious. And the sweet potato fries with that funky bbq-ish sauce they serve with it... man! How is some food so good? Then you can finish off your meal across the street at Scoops with some vegan ice cream.

This place is right up the street from me, but I've only been there twice. The lentil loaf is pretty tasty, as well as the P.E.T.. My only problem is that they charge you extra to use a credit card if your meal is under $10. I find this highly annoying as someone who rarely carried cash. It's only a dollar, but it's about principle!

Raw at it's best!
My first raw experience was at Ecopolitan. I was in Minneapolis for 5 days and ate there twice. I was so amazed at what they could do with raw food. The fettucini alfredo is awesome, as well as the tosadas. Definitely worth the cost!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!
This is absolutely my favorite vegan restaurant. I almost hate that I've tried so many of the dishes there because when I go, it takes me forever to decide what I want to eat. The tempeh reuben, tuno melt, burrito and quesadilla are all amazing. I love the cashew cheese. And the cupcakes are pretty darn good, too! Thank god my boyfriend will put up with me always wanting to eat there.

I've only had one slice of vegan chocolate cake from French Meadow, but it was heavenly!

I love it, but hesitant
I've eaten at Green Leaves several times. I love love love the lentil quesadilla, the lentil loaf, and the pad thai. HOWEVER... I have doubts about the soy cheese they use. I usually order the lentil quesadilla with soy cheese, and the last time I noticed the cheese stretched. Stretching = casein. I asked what kind of cheese it was and the waiter said "Vegan Gourmet", which is Follow Your Heart, which I use all of the time. It was not the same color and FYH definitely doesn't stretch. Vegans, beware!

To Die For.
I moved out of Minneapolis 7 years ago. I still crave Pizza Luce with every fiber of my being. The BBQ mock duck + "rinotta" cheese... I am salivating right now and I'm not even hungry. I'm close to buying a $400 plane ticket and flying out there just because I'm thinking about how delicious it is. I can't give it 5 out of 5 cows because it's not 100% veg, but I would give it 1,000,000 cows out of 5 if I could. Pizza Luce cannot be topped.

RFD is pretty great. I've only been there once, but both what I had (Reuben) and what my boyfriend had (RFD buger) were great. He also had mashed potatoes with gravy, and the gravy taste so much like turkey it kind of freaked me out!

I thought it was good!
My office recently moved downtown and I was worried about finding veg food. My co-worker and I ventured out today, thinking I may have difficulty finding something to eat, when we stumbled in to the Wilshire Food Court and I was SHOCKED to find a veg-friendly booth! I was so excited. After much deliberation, I decided on the spinach quesadilla. It was pretty delicious. Reasonably priced (not $10 for a measly sandwich!) and FYH vegan cheddar. I know a lot of vegans hate FYH but I thought it was pretty darn tasty in the quesadilla. The cilantro cream sauce was gooood. This was my first time, so I obviously hadn't experienced it when the previous owner was there, but I don't get all the negative reviews... but, I have only had one thing, maybe I just got lucky. The pita pizza is next!
