More than just a store.... more a deli/cafe
Had one of my most unique vegetarian experiences at De Vegetarische Slager. This establishment has a deli down one side. All the products in the glass front cabinet are vegan/vegetarian. Down the other side of the shop there are funky cafe style tables. A long table with chairs run along the front window facing onto the interesting street. Immaculately clean and stylish contemporary decor. They sell interesting vegetarian products and groceries. With the help of the friendly customer focussed waitress I selected some mock 'chicken' which she warmed for me and served on a plate with a fresh crusty roll, a selection of salads and a big smile... totally delicious experience.

New Green Vegetarian Restaurant
Always encouraging to find a new vegetarian restaurant open.Enthusiasic, friendly waitress & chef. Freshly cooked, extensive menu, reasonable size servings.Air conditioning & good venue for a party as they have group banquet menus. Yum cha menu starting up soon where all yum cha dishes will be made on site. Christmas decorations need to be removed :) & plastic 'no meat zone' signage unnecessary. Looking forward to going back.

Enjoyed our dining experience here. Simple Chinese decor & fare. Green curry was delicious flavour & lots of veges and tofu. Mini suki was a lovely tasting broth & filled with plenty of veges & mock seafood/meats. Broth was lovely & plenty of veges & mock seafood/meat variety. It closes for lunch at 2pm so make sure you get there early. Some strange things on the menu like pig liver with enoki, double boiled goat meat with herbs etc. We were not that brave to try those but the menu was very extensive. The owners are very friendly and advised the recommended dishes with an asterik. We would definately go back again. Good value with dishes starting at 25bht up to 130Bht

This is a fantastic dining venue....I thought it was one of the best and healthiest Hare Restaurants I have been too. Casual, yet chic, stylist indoor dining area. The salad selection was extensive & delicious as was the hot selection of food. Curries, lasagne, eggless quiche, spinach pie, fancy rice, deserts etc.... This is a restaurant that needs to be franchised and found in every town and village worldwide! Hare Hare Hare!

This is my favourite Hare Krsna Cafe in Brisbane. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed and the food consistently Hare Krsna food yummy. The 'all you can eat' selection of curries, dhal, pakoras, salad, desert, drinks never fail to satisfy me. Although sometimes I cant resist getting a takaway piece of the delicious eggless honey sponge cake to savour later .....

Enjoyed our dinner here. Large variety of choices. English menu with pictures. There was also another menu in Chinese with cheaper prices. The food was delicious and quite large portions (especially the dumplings). Would definately recommend to take non-vegetarians here as the chilled atmosphere and delicious food made it a very pleasant experience. A little expensive but not compared with western prices.

Delicious Traditional Dutch tea house
What a wonderful traditional dutch tea house/cafe...everything on the menu was vegan. We only had afternoon tea here... I had a chai latte and my husband hot chocolate. Both came with a lovely biscuit on the side. I had the vegan chocolate/nut cake which was rich, creamy & delicious. We look forward to going back again for lunch. The cafe is opposite lovely Westerpark.

I usually enjoy visiting Loving Hut restaurants around the world by have to sadly report this one was lacking...lacking atmosphere, service, and food quality was only average and very small serves. Note: although it is advised here to take the free Mariott boat from Sakorn Taksin Pier the boat is not marked 'Marriot' but flies a flag called 'Anantaran'....we missed it and it only runs every 1/2 hour. The restaurant is one of the only tenanted shops in a group of empty shops outside the old hotel. Once inside, we welcomed the air-conditioning and ordered. Food was delivered out of order by a very young girl who could hardly carry the plates. The plates where white china which made a pleasant change from many places in Bangkok using plastic. Cafe style white tables and chairs, vegetarian propaganda posters on the wall & their own TV channel on with the sound muted. This would of been all fine if the food had been amazing. Very average and as very small servings we kept ordering more. Some dishes were deep fried unrecognisable items and not very appetizing at all. The the dim sims were dry. The best thing I had was the coconut smoothie which was possibly the best drink I had in Bangko :) Dishes range from 90bht to 200bht which is not expensive but high for the standard of restaurant. All napkin containers were empty on all the tables which we brought to their notice. NOTE: restaurant is moving on April 6th 2013 to Soi 20 Rama 3 wherever that is. Hoping the new location will add some renewed enthusiasm to the owners and wishing them all the best.

Lovely Vegan Cafe
Great location on the canal is this vegan cafe. Delicious cakes, desserts, chocolate, wraps and and sandwiches. Simple relaxing decor and friendly staff. A lovely place to chill, watch the world go by sipping on a spiced tea or chai latte and snacking on some delicious healthy vegan treat....

Freshly cooked delicious meal consisting of fancy rice, dahl, a vegetable curry and a chutney with pappadams and a sweet rice for dessert & drink all for 5 euros. The meal is different every time. The devotees were very friendly and welcoming and very eager to make sure we had enough to eat. It is not really a restaurant but more mish mash of a few chairs and tables inside a shop front. Their temple room is behind this seating area but at no time did they discuss their religion. The shopfront is on a street just up from the canal. They also have a Sunday 'love' feast where there is chanting, dancing, a philosophical discussion then a free feast. You are encouraged to leave a donation. Great experience, friendly atmosphere & delicious food.

We went to Vege world Tuesday and unfortunately it was closed. We returned Wednesday and were not disappointed. The small chinese cafe style restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back again.
