Quaint Cafe

This quaint cafe is located in an antique shop and offers limited seating. It is a peaceful place to have a light lunch. The menu consists of sandwiches with a few vegetarian options. Also, the hummus appetizer is very good. The stand out features of my visit to The Love Tree were the "award winning" brownies and the shopkeeper, Elaine. The peanut butter brownie was truly award winning! Heated, it was an ooey gooey delicious treat! Elaine was very accomodating making all food fresh in the tiny kitchen. This was a very nice and simple lunch spot for a rainy day.

Amazing Vegan Food!

If you are in Pensacola, make sure to stop by End of the Line cafe. This quaint and artsy coffe shop type cafe serves amazing vegan food. The Thursday night dinners and Sunday brunch are an absolute must! These three course meals consist of gourmet style food with a home cooked flair for an excellent price. You can't beat it! The three course meal always includes tea or coffee, soup, salad, several sides, a meatless main dish, and dessert all for under $10! The menu varies every week so you can go there on a regular basis without getting burnt on the food. Best kept secret in Pensacola!

Best Vegetarian Sushi

I had a good experience with the Laughing Seed. I enjoyed the variety of food on the menu and everything I ordered was fresh and full of flavor. However, what stands out in my mind is the vegetarian sushi appetizer. The sushi was a special and I can only hope that they have since added this extraordinary appetizer to their regular menu. The sushi consisted of gingered carrots, fresh vegetables, and cashew butter! It was out-of-this-world and definately the best sushi I have ever experienced. Next time I am in Asheville, I will be stopping by The Laughing Seed!

Fresh Tasting Food

Manatee Cafe is a great lunch spot with a variety of sandwich options with fresh veggies. I loved the addition of sweet potatoes in many of the sandwiches and wraps. My wrap was bursting with flavor, veggies and tasted very healthy! The hummus was a little heavy on the garlic but was still quite tasty. Friendly, accomodating staff!

Music + Vegan Food

Sluggos has some great vegan sandwiches but they also host a variety of special nights. Tuesday night is barbecue night with barbecued seitan and a variety of changing homestyle sides all for a little over $5. Examples include fresh corn on the cob, cornbread, beans, cole slaw, and sauteed cactus. The marinated buffalo wing style seitan kabobs is usually an appetizer option worth ordering again and again. Saturday night is sushi night with vegan sushi fillings such as seitan, tofu, and vegetables. You may find potstickers and spring rolls as appetizers on sushi night. The food is excellent but get there early because there is a tendency to run out of menu items. Please keep in mind, this is a nightclub often featuring late night alternative music so get there early if you are looking for a quiet dinner.

Very creative food and friendly staff!

We stopped by the Present Moment on our way out of St. Augustine since it was closed for most of our visit (Sunday-Monday). We are both vegetarians but had never experinced raw food. The staff was very friendly and willingly explained the raw food diet and even allowed us to tour their up-and-coming store. The food was very interesting and creative. I look forward to trying The Present Moment again next time I am in St. Augustine.

Authentic Indian Food

Very authentic Indian food. The menu was quite extensive with a variey of Indian food options. I have been to many Indian restaurants but have not experienced many of the options that were offered at Woodlands. Although a bit spicy for my taste, it was fun experimenting with different appetizers and entrees. The mango lassi was very good and helped tame the spiciness of the food.
