Wonderful mains such as seitan stroganoff. Great selection of wines and beers. Nice warm and filling food.

Nice but expensive
I visited here for lunch. The food was nice but not exceptional for the prices. I felt the staff wanted us out quite quickly. Many establishments of equivalent quality for a better price and experience are available in New York. Suitable perhaps for taking non-veg friends and family.

A very diverse menu and all great tasting. Very casual and relaxed environment, nice way to unwind.

Amazing all vegan diner experience, just go on an empty stomach!
Kempinski Plaza, Uhlandstrasse 181-183, Berlin, Germany
Excellent but expensive
Hidden away from the traffic La Mano Verde provides a quiet and private atmosphere. The food is exceptionally creative and tastes great. Unfortunately it's quite expensive and the servings are incredibly small. I would go back if it wasn't for the price.
Jernbaneveien 3, Stavanger, Norway
The lack of options for vegans in Stavanger quickly becomes apparent, and in such circumstances most suitable vegan options are poorly prepared and tasteless, although Stills provided a number of great tasting, large and reasonably priced options in a country that doesn't cater too well for herbivores. I would return if I were ever to visit Stavanger again.
Akersgata 74, Oslo, Norway
As much as I enjoyed finding a vegan friendly restaurant in Oslo we found the options to be between bland and tasteless. The all you can eat buffet loses its appeal when you're presented with unflavoured elbow macaroni, stale bread, plain rice, and peas in a tomato base as hot food selections. Shredded carrots and various other basic salad ingredients barely sufficed for the remainder of the options. The food needs more imagination and effort (which is not difficult by any means) rather than the excuse that the options for v*gans are slim in Oslo. We won't be going back.
620 Iberville St, New Orleans, USA
Very few vegan options, and those that do exist are quite tasteless. I requested no cheese and stressed this twice, the server relayed this to the kitchen staff, walked back to my hotel and discovered cheese. Walked back and had it quickly rectified. Wouldn't go back.
Brunnenstr. 29, Berlin, Germany
We stopped by for breakfast not expecting much, but to our surprise we were presented with freshly made and still warm croissants (regular and almond), bircher muesli, and various other breakfast items which seem to be hard to come across in Germany. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (also suggested other great vegetarian and vegan friendly places to eat in Berlin). Recommend it to anybody and we will be going back on our next visit to Berlin.
198 Allen St, New York City, USA
Great vegan pizza in the Lower East Side. Very nice setting and the staff are polite and attentive. Perhaps a touch on the pricey side and would probably reserve for special occasions, although I'm craving another potato and broccolini pizza now just thinking about it. Check it out.
Am Graf-Adolf-Platz 6, Dusseldorf, Germany
Healthy and reasonably priced
Arriving in Düsseldorf on a business trip I didn't expect to find much vegan friendly food that wasn't heavy on the fake meats until I discovered Sattgruena. The swlf serve buffet provides a large variety of healthy mains, but of course there are some cakes available too which are quite hard to resist. I will return on all future trips to Düsseldorf.
19 Kenmare St, New York City, USA
Nice, but slim, vegan breakfast options, especially their take on avocado on toast. I visited a couple of times, very nice setting and a good way to start the day, just avoid the coffee.
450 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, USA
Great vegetarian diner with a lot (possibly all can be customised) of vegan options.
378-380 Brunswick St, Fitzroy
If nothing else is available...
I've been going to the Vegie Bar for many years, and almost every time I tell myself it will be the last. I struggle to believe it's a business with a sincere focus to creating genuinely healthy and tasty meals in a positive environment for v*gans and those trying it for the first time. The rude and pretentious staff, the incredibly long wait between having someone acknowledge you're there and your food arriving (if it's even the meal you ordered), and staff telling you something is vegan when it's clearly not, I wonder why I continue to return. There are many other options on Brunswick street run by people who are happy to have you as a customer.
Brabanter Str. 9, Cologne, Germany
Great tasting food and friendly staff
The staff at Well Being we're extremely helpful and quick. They were patient with our lack of German language skills and provided us with an English menu. There were plenty of options for appetisers and mains. We've been a couple of times and would return if we were to ever visit Cologne again.
