Happy Vegan*

Delicious fresh and healthy food! Had the goulash and it definately satisfied my craving for Austrian food. My father and his girlfriend were joining me, both meat eaters, and they were more than happy with their lunch. Great selection, and yummy vegan cakes that were sugar free. Will definately be going back when I visit Wien again!! The waitress was really friendly and spoke great English, and the restaurant itself is cosy and warm.

So glad I found this place on Happy Cow! Restaurant was fully booked even though it was a Tursday night, called to make a booking that day and they managed to fit us in later that evening. Restaurant is divided into 3 rooms with different themes, all very cosy. There us also one 2 seated in the hall way by the toilet- not a good place to sit. The menu is very extensive, with starters, salads, soups, pastas, main meals, teas, drinks and desserts. Vegan options are good and are marked on menu. The hummus was delicious, as was the Sundried tomato paste, and the stir fry that I had for my main meal was tasty and well spiced. The 2 meat eaters joining me had the burritos and enjoyed them immensly. There was not much on the dessert menu that was vegan but I was too full anyway! The waitress was very nice but a bit slow with drinks. All in all a wonderful experience!

Couldn't find...

Searched the area high and low for this place but couldn't find it and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. It's definately not in Praha1, or anywhere near J.M. So it is either closed/moved or at another address...

Went here on a Monday afternoon for lunch, and it was packed but for one table. Restaurant is in a cosy little corner on one side of the Health Store. Menu has a great selection, including: breakfasts, soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes, burgers, salads, wraps, and rice bowls. As well as an extensive menu of smoothies and veg juices. Many Vegan options, but no Vegan desserts. The meals were all freshly prepared, and the ingredients was tasty and fresh. Will definately keep coming back.

Good Food...

Restaurant is upstairs from the Health Store, and was very empty when we went. menu is the same as Health for Life in Gardens, very extensive with many vegan options. Staff was very helpful. Salads were fresh and a good portion size. Watch out for the salad dressing which comes with Vegan salads, as it is not vegan.

Love it

I live in hong kong, and if I could I would probably eat from here every day! Downstairs in the deli they always have great salads (tofu is amazing,as is the potato salad), the lentil soups are always yummy and the mouth watering vegan chocolate mousse slice always gets me going. Upstairs in the restaurant the atmosphere is great, especially on the rooftop. The Life Salad is a favourite of mine, and the tofu skewers are to die for! My friends always go for the Life Burger... My boyfriend swears by the pizza and the stir fry. I have tried one or two dishes before that were a bit bland but I now know what to order. Prices are high but in my experience worth it! Lemonade is delicious too...

An absolute Gem...

What a wonderful surprise to have found this Cafe! The only Raw Vegan restaurant in Phuket, it has a great selection of creative dishes. We have been twice to pick up some of their delicious desserts for take-away, and once so far for dinner. The papaya rings with Guacamole were delightful, and the Burger was delicious. My boyfriend enjoyed the Nori Rolls that come with a very tasty Wasabi dipping sauce. From the dessert menu, we have tried the Cheesecake (amazing!), Apple Pie, Chocolate Brownie, Banana Ice cream and the Pineapple Cream Pie - all were absolutely delicious! I plan to go back before i leave, to try a few other things on the menu, as well as to have some more dessert! The staff were lovely, and the owner (a Doctor and Naturopath) is very helpful and friendly. As it is a Wellness house, patients can sometimes be seen popping into the kitchen to grab a healthy snack.
Definately worth the visit!

Wonderful Chinese Dining Experience...

After mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by this Restaurant. I had a bit of difficulty finding a decent Vegan meal in Beijing, until I came here...The interior is dark and cosy, if a bit over done. Staff were very attentive, and even spoke a bit of English.
As many have mentioned, the Menu is huge and heavy! It will take you a good 15 mins to get through everything, but it is beautifully presented with special names for the dishes.
Before our food order, we were brought a dish with pickled Veg which we were told was to 'open' our palates. We ordered four dishes, which were each brought on different plates and dishes decorated with animal figures. Our place mats were made of lotus leaves and we were given large Shells to eat out of (questionable when it comes to being 'animal friendly').
The Tofu with Vegetables dish was delicious, as was the Sweet & Sour Eggplant. We also tried some Veggie wraps & Dumplings.
During the main course we were brought complementary shots of sweet Vinegar Wine, which was really good.
For dessert I tried the Banana Ice, which was creamy and tasty. At the end of our meal we were brought yet another complimentary item: Watermelon on Dry Ice.
Upon leaving, I was given a lotus flower by the hostess.
All in all, it was a spectacular meal in a very unusual but pleasant setting.
I will definitely be going back the next time I go to Beijing!
Highly Recommended.
(Prices are expensive compared to other restaurants in Beijing, but still reasonable in my opinion: 4 dishes, 1 dessert, 2 drinks = 270 RMB, along with complementary starter, drink & fruit)

One of my favourite places to go for lunch! Bookings for lunch time are a must as it is always full! Choose from a set menu. Food always made with fresh and hearty ingredients. Presentation and flavours are always amazing, and the staff are always super friendly. Definately a peaceful place*

Value for money

I always get excited when everything is vegan, especially when you get to pile onto your plate as much as you want!! The selection was great, from salads, soups, faux meats, pizza, Burgers, warm dishes and desserts. The pumkin soup was delicious and I also enjoyed the pizza(with soy cheese) and the tofu salad. I got a tofu burger to take away for the journey home, which was great, and also a yummy apple strudel slice. Atmosphere is a bit like a cafateria but all vegan :) great for a cheap, hearty, healthy lunch! Place was full at lunch time.

Super Supermarkt!!

So happy I went to take a look in here! Found SO many Vegan things: the bakery has everything marked with different coloured stickers so you know whether it contains milk, eggs, butter, wheat etc I bought delicious vegan cake slices, as well as 3 different types of yummy Austrian style cookies. In the refrigerated section I went crazy with different types of marinated tofus, tempeh, falafel, burgers, sausages etc And I also found Vegan ice cream in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavours! Don't go unless you're prepared to spend a good amount of money :)

Great place to bring Non-veggies...

I was very pleased with this restaurant - I had promised to take my family for a good Vegetarian lunch, and had my fingers crossed that this place would live up the good reviews here...The buffet selection is great, with mostly Vegan dishes and a good mix of european, indian, and salad dishes. Everyone piled their plates high, and polished everything off happily. The Cake selection is a Vegan dream come true - we decided to get a few and share them so we could taste them all: Chocolate-Banana Split Muffin, Tiramisu, Apple Streusel Cake & Berry Cake Slice. All were delicious! There is outdoor seating, which is great for summertime, and the staff all speak some English. For 5 people (plates piled high, and 5 desserts) the bill totalled EU 50, which really isn't bad for a good, healthy & tasty meal! Would definately go here again...might even consider moving to this city just for those Vegan desserts!

A great store with a wide variety of produce and friendly staff. Always make a stop here for my special needs...good selection of baking goods for vegans, with non-dairy choc chips, agave syrup, xanthan gum etc

Favourite Indian Restaurant

Love this place! Owner and waiters are always happy to make dishes vegan upon request. Mushroom mutter and dahl are my favourites.

Austrian, Vegan

Great little place. Menu is very Austrian with gulash, schnitzel, sausages etc almost everything is vegan or can be made vegan. Food very tasty and service was great :)

Favoritenstrasse 156, Nahe Reumannplatz, Vienna, Austria

Small, Asian

Didn't get a chance to try the food, but popped in to grab a take away slice of cake. Restaurant is very small, with a large menu of very Asian mock meat foods. Run by Vietnamese. Cake was a cocoa/nut cake, creamy and not too sweet. Worth the long walk up Favoritenstrasse, but not my cup of tea for main meals...

Good Chinese Food

I Always have the stirfried rice with faux meat bits, spicy and tasty. My boyfriend has had the cha siu and enjoyed it (he is a meat eater). Atmosphere is like a cafateria- chose your food and pay for it, then you get a number and when your order is ready you collect your tray. The menu is full of Chinese dishes prepared with faux meats. They also have one or two desserts which I have not yet tried. Prices are cheap.

Health shop with lunch menu

I came here hoping to get a good vegan lunch...The ground floor is a health shop with a good selection of grains, faux meats etc. They also have a bakery but unfortunately there were only the veggie patties that were vegan and they tasted a little bland. They have a set lunch, and that day it was a chickpea dish which didn't appeal to me so I didn't try it. The eating area is up the stairs on a little indoor balcony.
