Best place to eat in Byron
Once eating here, I returned every night for the rest of my trip. The service was very good and the food was amazing. The food is like asian street food, the ingredients are extremely fresh, it is not greasy, and the tofu is the best I have ever had.

Having only heard positive things about the Cardamom Pod, I gave it a go. I was a bit disappointed with the food, it was nice but nothing to rave about. I probably wouldn't eat there again as there are other places I can eat in Byron Bay that serve better meals.

Easy & Delicious
I eat here often, usually for Yum Cha but I have ordered from the menu too. The vegan Yum Cha is fantastic, with authentic flavours and is extremely convenient. The steamed dumplings are delicious (especially the coriander ones and the asparagus ones) while the fried ones are good too (particularly the Raddish balls, taro dumplings, BBQ pork). The fried rice noodles with XO sauce is another standout dish. The service is good and the staff are very friendly.

This place is great for brunch. They have a great range of vegan food, good range of gluten-free options and a fantastic dessert range.

The food here is consistent and always nice. The koftas with chutney are the best I have had. The veg curry is always good and the kofta salad is nice as it has mini koftas in it. The food can sometimes be a bit heavy but it is delicious. Perfect for all diets, all of the non-vegs I have taken here have loved it and returned on their own terms

I was quite impressed with Loving Hut on my first visit. I enjoyed my meal there, it was filling and very tasty. The menu was specific as it detailed what dishes were gluten-free and which ones contained onion. I agree with another reviewer about the posibility of MSG... I was unusually thirsty following my meal but overall I would return.

I wish it was open for lunch too
This place is a great place to go on the Gold Coast for something different. The food is great and the staff are ok. If you feel like a healthy pizza then look no further. The "cheese" is delicious but sometimes they are a bit heavy handed and it can end up being a little rich.

Very nice raw food, not rich or sickly at all. Would gladly return.

Not the best...
I recently went to Raw Energy and was disappointed to see that some food was not raw and with a name including "raw", it was a bit misleading. I tried one of their 'raw' cakes... it appeared to be raw but was disgusting, while a friend tried a lentil thing which was ok. I will not return. Furthermore, the staff appear quite dirty. One girl was putting cutlery away and was coughing all over place while doing so.

Go to Govindas instead
Having heard positive things about this place, I decided to go. I received extremely small servings and the food was very average. You are better off going to Govindas in James St (Burleigh) as you will get a cheaper, better and bigger meal.
