100% Delicious - You HAVE to Go!
29 Sep 2010
This is the first 100% vegan restaurant I have ever been to, so I was very excited. The seating was a little too close to the next table and the dining area was very loud, but this is just something you come to expect in NYC. Once the wine and food came out, any shortcomings were forgotten. We had the Cape Cod Cakes (a blend of seaweed, tofu, herbs and spices, served with a vegan tartar sauce). I literally do not have words to describe these: delectable, heavenly, scrumptious? Words don't do them justice. My friend (a meat-eater) said it was the best tartar sauce she'd ever had! My main course was the Pistachio and Pepper-Dusted Tofu. This was served over a roasted root vegetable crepe with a lemon truffle sauce; a mixed greens salad tossed in red beet vinaigrette finished the dish. $20 is much more than a vegan typically pays for an entrée, but this was worth every penny (and then some)! I have never tasted anything so blissfully luscious. I am still sad I didn't have room for dessert, but that will have to wait for my next visit!

Not a huge menu, which I appreciate. They had just the right amount of items to choose from and plenty vegan choices. I had the tempeh sandwich, mom had the vegan tuna & my sister had the Falafel Sandwich (we all opted for sweet potato fries & we ate them ALL). We all LOVED our choices - so delicious! I'll definitely be going back on my next visit to D.C.! Plus, they have the all-too-elusive VEGAN BRUNCH! So going to try that!

Kind People, Wonderful Food!

We showed up about 10 minutes before closing & they were very welcoming (something most restaurants will give you an attitude about). The food was wholesome and delicious! I highly recommend!

Crowded but Worth It!

The food was fabulous, even my 8-yr old & 4-yr old nieces loved it! There was a lack of dining space, but the food more than made up for it. The staff was super friendly, even during the hectic lunch rush. If you're in the Philly area, definitely dine here!

Just Don't Get the Muffuletta
31 Aug 2013
This was really disappointing for me. I am a vegan, living in the south, and the first thing I always do when traveling is search for vegan restaurants. I went to Liquid Earth with my [non-vegan] mom, sister and two nieces. We had the guacamole as an appetizer which was good (not $10 good, but good). My nieces split a veggie burger which was huge - they loved it! My mom had a smoothie and my sister had a sandwich. I got the "muffuletta". I put it in quotes because only about 10% of this sandwich could be classified as a muffuletta. The chef seriously needs to take a trip down to LA and find out how to make a true vegan muffuletta. Or, pick up a copy of Vegan with a Vengeance, there's a recipe in there that will help. I took TWO bites of my sandwich and couldn't bring myself to eat anymore. When the server came to clear the table, she asked if I wanted it wrapped up. I said, "no". Nothing else was said, she just took it away. Not very professional.
$55 later, my non-vegan family had a nice lunch...I was still hungry.
I'll search for another vegan restaurant next time I'm in Baltimore.

So refreshing to find a restaurant in Key West that has more than fish! I'm vegan, my husband is not and we both loved this restaurant. They had a LOT of vegan & seafood choices - it was just perfect. Artsy, cute, friendly & I hope to go there again soon!

Best Restaurant EVER! ♥

I love (not "like"), LOVE the Tomato Head! Their food is always fresh and consistantly fantastic. The baked tofu is out of this world (meat-eaters even like it)! The staff is bohemian and super friendly, they will go out of their way to make you happy. They have seasonal specials and buy locally.
This is hands-down, my favorite restaurant EVER!

Healthy Fast Food!

The premade food is outstanding - you have to try the eggless egg salad spread! Grab some whole wheat chips & a drink & you've got a healthy vegan snack or lunch!
The employees are very helpful & courteous, they can answer all your questions & will even order something special if they don't have it in stock or normally don't carry it.
