Everything I tried here was great -- the dragon salad with tofu, the brunch with maple tempeh & tofu scramble, and a couple of smoothies. Good vibe, great food & good value (a complete brunch in Nov 2009 was $9.25). Delicious! Went two days in a row, and would've gon back if I had been staying in Montreal another day!

Tasty, cheap tacos and burritos, with great salsas. In May 2009, 2 tacos for $5.50 Canadian. Friendly staff, very casual atmosphere.

A cozy, relaxing small restaurant with friendly staff. A lunch menu del dia was 12 euro in Nov 2009 (including appetizer, main, dessert & herbal tea). The food was very mild and simple, but freshly prepared. Food could have used more flavor/imagination, but still was a nice lunch & quite enjoyable.
Kyrkogatan 16, Jonkoping, Sweden
Relaxed & warm atmosphere, good fresh food

Lots of beautifully presented desserts, great Swedish pancakes, and a really tasty curry "chicken" sandwich. Everything seemed very fresh. They offer a choice of cow's milk or soy milk with your coffee, but I believe everything else is vegan.
Also have a small gift shop and refrigerated section with various kinds of tofu (smoked, etc), and soy chorizo
Castello 1341 Via Garibaldi, Venice, Italy

Most of the deli items were vegan the day when I went, and they had a very nice potato/eggplant tart.
The shop is quite small, but they have a large selection of dry goods (like different flours, grains, etc). They sell the deli items by weight.
Worth visiting -- vegan food is hard to find in Venice!
Calle del Conde de Altea, 44, bajo Izquierda, Valencia, Spain

Many different Asian and western dishes to choose from; menu del dia with choice of several dishes available during lunch (13:30 - 16:00) & dinner (20:30 - 24:00) hours. Merienda 16:00 - 20:00
They also offer takeaway
Very clean restauarant, good prices, but a vaguely cult-like feeling, with the white decor and http://suprememastertv.com playing on their large-screen TV. But overall good, and I would definitely return!
Kaponjärgatan 4A, Gothenburg, Sweden
Cozy atmosphere but so-so vegan option

In November 2009, the price for a lunch meal was 75 SEK. On the Friday afternoon I went, there was only one vegan main dish, a vegetable stew, which was quite bland (the only flavor it had was the Tabasco sauce I added!) But the atmosphere was very cozy, and staff was friendly. Next time I'm in Gothenburg I will go back and give htem another chance!

Supermercado Yuen Tong

This is the largest Asian supermarket I've seen in Barcelona! It's got a large selection of tofu, fresh produce, veggie "egg" noodles, and all kinds of fake meats (soy, gluten, mushroom). The prices on many items are excellent (sample -- in July 2010: 0.90 for a large bag of fresh shitake mushrooms, 0.90 for tofu duro, 1.05 for a bag of soy jerky - cheap and good!)

One of my favorite restaurants anywhere

I've eaten here several times over the past few years, and I've never been disappointed. Whenever I'm in Shanghai, I run straight to this place!
The Set Business lunch is always beautifully presented, and full of a selection of creative, tasty dishes. And for less than US$3, it's a steal!
