Don't miss out on the weekend brunch!
10 Dec 2012
Cafe Mogenrot is a vegetarian cafe, but very vegan-friendly. I love coming here just to enjoy a cup of tea and chill; the atmosphere is great. The best thing is, however, the brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. You pick a price between 5 and 9 Euro (7 are suggested as that is what is needed to cover their expenses), which makes it affordable even for those with a tight budget. The food, needless to mention, is fantastic and the vegan options are plenty (countless spreads, salads, scrambled tofu). It is usually packed, so make sure to bring some time (but yeah, there are no such things as a quick brunch in Berlin anyway).

Great burgers and sandwiches!

La Karot is the best vegan place in the region, in my opinion. They offer a wide selection of great food, including salads, soups, burgers and pita sandwiches, at an affordable price. My personal favourites are the seitan cheeseburger and the seitan currywurst. The staff is helpful and friendly, and there is always great music playing. The place can get packed during lunch hours. I know several meat lovers who come here regularly because the food is simply GREAT.

Good and cheap fast food, vegan friendly

Green Point is a little take-away place right in the centre of Zagreb. They have a good selection of salads, sandwiches and burgers. The salads are fantastic (especially with the dressings they offer), the burgers on the other hand were, though yummy, a bit blunt. There is only a long bar table, but no chairs, so you cannot really stay there and eat your food in a comfortable way. Staff are friendly and helpful and accustomed with vegan requests.

Oh my, I don't think I have ever tasted better fast food before. Sure, it is rather heavy, but every single thing on the menu is one hundred percent vegan and sometimes you just crave really good burgers and fries - and at Vego Foodworld you will find exactly that. We had the Schnitzel plate and a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries, all of which was super tasty. Nice staff, great food, what else could you possibly need?!
