Cool little gem

Cool little dinner / tea shop. Good vegan choices, house made chia. The food was a mix of Asian, very well presented and good ingredients with a nice balance of flavours. Similar to other places but better. Relaxed warm atmosphere good for a date or with close friends. The tempura was superb and the south Indian curry plater was the best curry I have had in years. I will definitely be making a trip to visit chat for tea again.

tastes like stuffing....
16 Sep 2009
the burgers taste a lot like stuffing but i like stuffing and it goes suprisingly well with peanut butter and banana. i like this place its cheap fun food on the go. i crave the stuff burgers as soon as i get out the tube! ;)whole earth drinks and soya shakes available too. the staff are always friendly but cleanliness is questionable although it could just be the camden feel ;)
i give it a 4* for take out cheap food but in means of the whole package its a 3*.

great decor....amazing dips

i was so excited to have found this place, great interior frienly staff, vegan food! what more could you want....well....
the menu looked good but for the money it lacked that extra mile that warrented the few extra euro per dish. i found it bland and quite boring. i was suprised with the area it was in (temple bar=very busy) for it not to be packed. the bland food could be the reason for this and the name "juice" i initailly walked past it think it was just a juice bar. great juices great menu but it needs more flavour. the veggie burger had no flavour and served on a white burger bap, the chunky chips were hard to swallow and the relish was too lumpy the tomatoe was the worst tomatoe i had tasted in years (so poor ingredients). all these things are easily fixed and the place would have got a 5! babaganoush and hummous were great. the salad dressing i liked if not a bit basic = oil and vinegar. could be such a great place they just need the finishing touches. we also tried the tagine nice but again basic flavours and no texture. go for the convinence of the area and choice of veggie food.

FAST FOOD AND GREAT NAME
19 Jul 2010
tried this place a number of times now and its hit and miss. its a fast, vegan fatty salty option which hits the spot but the quality varies from whose on shift. when its good its good when its bad its slimy and over sauced, with soggy fries. saying that for the price i always go back in hope it will be a good one next time :)

MaoZ falafel kings chunkier chips than europe
30 Aug 2012
Good falafel, always busy late night but a fun spot to people watch and get some good eats. Nice lime and mint cooler and good amount of seats. Also has a toilet which is a bonus in that area,
Like all other Maoz its delicious, cheap, fresh food. Chips are slightly chunkier i think, i prefer french fries :)

Tasty food, great service an absolute gem

Loved this will be back for more curry puffs and satay sticks! This place is low key just starting out but boy its worth a visit. outside of Melbourne its hard to eat out as a vegan, so this is your last stop shop. It would make a great detour on the way to the ocean road if travelling or before hitting Melbourne. The service was the best talking to the own she totally look after us, offering complementary tasty biscuits and soup. Nice to eat something different and it's clean too.

AMAZING FOOD, GREAT CHOICE
28 Feb 2010
this is well over due in the westend for veggies, a great evening place. beautifully presented food, fantastic flavours, great staff. We had such a nice evening the atomosphere and attention to detail was amazing. good location easy to find. good variety of choice for vegans and rawists and good prices, shockingly reasonable for the style of place it is. i think is my new favourite for evening dining.

nice place interesting reads and the food is ok. nothing special but reasonable enough not to expect too much. its canteen food meaning already cooked and you choose what you want so can be quite mushy and warm. the desserts were disappointing but the staff are lovely and i like the lay out and chilled atomosphere.

Great friendly place

we found this place on NYE whilst on a mission to find bits for a party. We had struggled to find anywhere open on NYE during the day so when we saw this place was open we were frilled. We pulled up a chair and sampled a bit of everything. Good coffee, Great home made veggie burger, nice tofu balls and rice balls. would have liked more salad to make it a complete meal but we were stuffed by the end of our taste mission. the owners were lovely and friendly and the selection of vegan organic foods was good. will come back again next time we visit sydney. good value too. they where still setting when we visited so decor could be improved but was still clean and tidy.

3 tahini dips rule
22 Aug 2009
i love this place i regularly take a drive every couple of weeks for the tahini dips, and desserts. they recently changed their menu and vegan choice is limited. bring back the butternut squash filo and its my favourite veggie eatery. lovely staff and nice atomosphere all the time just like brighton. good quality food honestly priced.

wasn't overly impressed

this place has great community feel seems to always have lots of people hanging out. it has great reading material and groceries. as for the cafe part, we were put off by waitresses B.O and hairy armpits in a vest but granted that wont happen everytime, the food was ok a like dry where it's canteen style. won't be eating again but will shop again

great vegan chocolate cake
22 Aug 2009
really nice food well presented and in a relaxed atomosphere, really quiet maybe lacked atomosphere because of that but. food was great service was friendly and the great vegan desserts. was slightly expensive but worth it for the cake. portions could be bigger, could have eaten more of my main and dessert.

great place but
22 Aug 2009
great place, nice decor good atomospere. the food lacked vegan options and there seemed to be no way of altering other dishes. i guess that's what you get when a meat eater thinks they can cater for veggies. the food is nice a little confused on flavours but rustic good sized portions. just felt a little let down by lack of choice and adaptablity.

Interesting Veggie place
30 Aug 2012
The Ristorarte is also a art gallery, very modern and bright, on a saturday evening they have a piano playing and advertise local yoga classes in a news section. the floor of the restaurant is very modern and not very relaxing so we choose to sit outside.
we had a lovely waitress who was rushed off her feet and so we waited 1 hr for our order to be taken. we were in no rush so it became funny watching, almost close to a faulty towers sketch.
We enjoyed our meals here, however they were very different to normal veggie places. There was a lot going on. Was hoping for more traditional italian but was happy and pleasantly surprised by the vegan fig and balsamic pasta dish. we also tried the carrot and wild rice puree soup nice but strange, would probably enjoyed a smaller serving of it. We also had Tempura Veg that was delicious but also too big a serve which ended up stopping us from being able to manage dessert.
it took some time to pay, but the waitress and waiter that night were very nice and kind and sorry for the delays in service. they gave us some top tips for rome and we exchanged some recipe ideas.
in the quest for a good vegan dessert whilst in rome we went back the following night just for drinks and the fig and almond tart. Again with the delight of another episode of italian faulty towers, the pudding was nice but was lacking something, it was a bit too basic. the sorbet made the the dessert. i would go back to this place for the service as even though it was possibly the slowest i have ever had it was polite and funny, it also helped i was on holiday i guess. they also have a different take on flavour which is always nice to explore.
