We tried this new place on its second day of trading, 20th Aug. Opening offer of 15% discount on combo meals which was welcome as some dishes slightly on the pricey side. Went for tex mex burger - very tasty, and my other half had Biryani - not quite as the photo on their website, and quite spicey but tasty all the same. Puds are brilliant, I also got to sample the chocolate mousse which was amazing. Would prefer it if they served Whole Earth organic fizzy drinks rather than than the usual Sprite etc. Service was a bit slow but will forgive them as it's all new and they were trying to get out loads of sample food to passers by outside. Would definitely go back as lots to get through on the menu!

On a recent short break to Paris this was our best meal out. The English menu was really 'order by picture' as explanations of each dish was minimal.
We shared a starter which was like a spring roll without the crispy pastry with loads of fresh shredded veg, seitan and hint of mint, wrapped in a lettuce leaf and then encased in a light green dough mix - hard to explain but so tasty!! You get 2 substantial rolls, so really glad we shared!
Next course, my other half had mushroom crepe with loads of fresh salad and I had kebabs with noodles and loads of salad. Kebabs were mix of tofu chunks, seitan chunks, cherry tomatoes and green pepper. Amazing!!
We just couldn't manage a dessert after all this! We ate here the day before we left Paris, if we'd had another day we would definitely have returned. There was a great buzz here, very popular for Saturday lunch and people queuing to get a table. Lots of locals too which is a great sign for any restaurant.
NB if visiting in August beware that some veggie restaurants and cafes close for a few weeks for vacations.

Fabulously fast and fresh falafel

Loved this place, we ended up eating there twice during our short August break. When you need something quick, fresh and tasty and guaranteed meat-free this is hard to beat!
The place itself is on the small side, just a few chairs and no loo. It's all managed by one person who was so friendly and whizzed about serving everyone and cooking the falafel fresh at great speed.
You can help yourself to as much salad as many times as you wish, it's certainly great food if you are on a tight budget as a large falafel (5 pieces) in pitta with salad is €4.50.

We had the 2 course lunch, great value at £9.50. We arrived just before it opened and mouth was already watering reading the menu! Didn't actually realise that it was the previous day's menu and I'd already got my heart set on one of the desserts so when we saw that day's menu I was gutted! However after starters and main I asked the very lovely waitress if there was any chance of sampling the lime and pink peppercorn meringues with chocolate dipping sauce and I was in luck! They are so delicious, sounds a bit of an unusual combination but I highly recommend them!!!
Our starters and main courses were pretty fab too, very fresh and arrived promptly.
Great atmosphere, decor and finishing touches with napkins in napkin rings, with a lovely artichoke illustration. We need this type of restaurant on the south coast!

Restaurant well located to Pompidou Centre/Louvre/Forum des Halles shopping centre. We had a good evening meal, menu came with photos of plates of food, rather than full descriptions. Lots of meat substitutes in evidence - not sure veggies want to be reminded of this all the time, so we avoided these options this time.
For starters we had a melon and mix salad and vegetable tempura, and for mains we both went for mushroom roti with blackberry sauce, came with loads of salad and veg, bulgar wheat and a dollop of mashed potato. No room for a dessert!
Was planning to return for Sunday lunch as near our hotel but surprised to find it closed! Not sure if that's a regular thing or perhaps the August summer holiday closure which we came across several times during our break in Paris.
