I'd eat there again
23 Oct 2009
It was abit expensive for the small portion sizes. My wife and I had to order two meals each to satisfy our hunger. The icecream was also 5 bucks for a dixie cup. It was all delicious and it was nice to go to a raw vegan place that was not in the city. The book section was quite impressive. The owner Arnold was odd and difficult to speak with.

It was a great experience. The food was good and the service was good. The decor wa warm and inviting. The food came kind of slow but there were things to occupy the time ... they have games on the tables. They also had great items on sale, environmentally friendly type things like lunch carriers and utensils. My only regret is that I live on the East coast and I do not get to visit the Berkley area as much I would like.

Worth every Caribbean penny

This joint was awesome. The two ladies, I believe their names to be Esther and I am ashamed to not remember the other, were very friendly and willing to give description of everything on the menu. They even let us sample before we chose what we wanted. They had wickedly delicious gluten steaks and these little coconut cakes that they had were excellent as well. We got quite a few things to try. The portions were substantial and the only thing I did not care for was a chickpea casserole. My mother-in-law, who is not vegetarian, loved the food so much she actually bought a little extra for herself. It was all so inexpensive that the whole family ate for something like $20 U.S.
I actually enjoyed the food so much that I ran back to the place and got a big to-go container to take back to the cruise ship. I ate it for dinner rather than eat the food offered by the cruise line. Definitely try the home made drinks. Esther even made me ginger beer on request. We were all really impressed with how clean the place was. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Barbados.

I would go there again ... and again ... and again

Friendly folks serving good food. Not one dish we sampled were we displeased with. Our group had roti, veggie burger and fries, roti platter, falafel platter. We also had some home made drinks, soursop and passion fruit. My only complaint would be that I was not hungrier and that I did not have the time to go back and get more before our ship left. The owners were gracious enough to have a photo with me. I love eating places where they have a local following. This place had locals eating in and calling in their orders. Sad to say the owner was speaking of coming to North America. Only sad because it means that when we go back to the island we will not have the pleasure of eating in this establishment again. Please do give it a try if they are still there and you are on the island of St. Kitt's.

Mostly great ... some issues though.

I think that this is one of the best joints there is around the shore area. The food is usually very good. I go fairly often and have been since the place was Veggieworks. I did have one or two times that I went and felt kind of ripped off by the quality. 98% of the time it is very good. My main issue is that you never know what you are going to get when you go for the Sunday buffet. I would still go because what ever you get, it's usually quite delicious. I usually call ahead to make resrvations and inquire about the content of the buffet and the response is usually "Uh, I dunno. It all depends on what we have around." I went for Father's Day and I also went for Mother's Day and it appeared to have less selection for Father's Day. They also ran out of brown rice and started serving white rice. I think with a little forethought they could have a menu planned for the weekend. I really miss the lunch specials/menu that used to be offered when it was Veggieworks (also the salad bar no longer exists). I know they are two different places but I still miss some of what Veggieworks had.
Oh, some of the wait staff needs to improve their professionalism.

A must if in Louisville!

This place is what most restaurants should aspire to be. The wait staff was very friendly and they appeared to be genuinely concerned with the happiness of the diners. Every visit to Louisville gets a visit to Ramsi's (sometimes multiples). The Sunday bufft is ridiculous. Lots of choices and some of the best fried green tomatoes I have ever had. They even make a vegan remoulade that is completely delicious. Breakfast tacos, vegan sausage, dumplings, scrambled tofu(not the best), homefries, etc. The owner is a very nice man and very humble. He is a man who likes to feed people and see them enjoy their food. I didn't even know he was the owner and he was getting berries for my son special without the whipped cream. Crowdedd sometimes but that's the mark of a good joint. I really can't say enough good things about Ramsi's. Awesome place and awesome experiences. Love it, love it, love it.

If you like Asian food ...

Then this is a great place for you. Good food with a great price. they even have a lunch menu. The scallion panckes are awesome, wonton soup ... awesome. Brown rice at no extra charge is a bonus. There are so many good choices I have a hard time choosing what to get.

One of our favorite places
24 Oct 2009
We have been to the Denville location several times. I have a great love of noodle soup and they do not disappoint. The chicken curry is my favorite and I usually go for the wide noodles. My wife and father in law swear by the paradise chicken (wife no spice, father in law spicey). The staff is accomodating and the service was prompt. Water glasses are kept full, which shows a lot about you service skills. They were nice to the whole family and I actually introduced my inlaws to the joint. They love it and actually like visiting when they come in from out of state.

This place is great. I need to switch up what I get because I have only eaten two dishes but love the one so much it's hard to get much else as a main dish. I usually go for the basil noodle soup. The sprouts, basil and hot pepper comes on the side to add last minute to the hot broth, sooo good. spring rolls are excellent. My wife gets another noodle soup that is not spicey. There are lots of choices that look good. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Can be crowded at times. I see a lot of Vietnamese eating there ... always a bonus when you see people of the culture eating at a restaurant. Always a place we eat when in Louisville.

Nice dinner out
11 Sep 2010
Went out to dinner with the inlaws here. I was hesitant at first because Chinese is not my first choice in asian cuisine. I have to say that the food was good and fairly priced. The wait staff was attentive and friendly and the owner even gave us fee cookies that she had there for a charity event the next day. I would go again just because the owner was nice, the place was clean and the staff was professional. That goes a long way in my book. Having good food is important too but good food served by nasty people somehow doesn't taste as delicious. They get a thumbs up in my book. They also had vegan desserts.
