Amazing meal, nice style and presentation, looked extremely healthy. We had a platter of various components which all stood up on their own but complemented each other.

Friendly staff with fluent English. Cost about 50 Euro for two.

Nice place

16 Sep 2010

Situated in an art centre type place. They serve salads and soups mostly, with a nice stew. Great ice creams sundaes.

Not cheap. Open late but the terrace shuts at 7pm. Friendly staff who gave us some tips for where to go after we had finished.

Local spot

16 Sep 2010

Full of locals. Not too expensive (for Copenhagen). A range of dishes but mostly of the lunchtime variety. Very small indoor seating area with benches outside.

No English menu but the staff was very helpful and spoke fluent English. They don't have a till so remember the name of what you ordered.

Located in the trendy "SoFo" district its hard to spot amongst all the other cafes. Quite busy on a saturday. No English menu but the serving staff described everything for us. You collect your food and pay at the main counter unless you order a sandwich (ciabatta) which they bring to your table. There is a complimentary drinks and salad bar by the entrance.

Of its own class in Europe

Brilliant, cheap, popular. Extensive menu with so many stand out items it was hard to choose.

We didn't book a table but after waiting for 10 minutes we got a table for two.

Lovely punk rock pub with good pub food. Large servings. Cheap. A few tables outside for sunny days. Staff had excellent English and English menus.

Standard but tasty Falafel. Great for a lunch snack after a tour of the Synagogue.

No prices on the menus in the outdoor area but they are listed on the wall inside. Also you have to remember what you ordered when you need to pay as they don't have a till.

Great Buffet

16 Sep 2010

So good we ate here twice within 3 days. Good selection on the buffet, standard salad items and nice "hot" selection which varies daily. The sandwiches were delicious and generously filled but can sell out.

Great central location, the streets were extremely busy in August but the restaurant is in a quiet courtyard away from the hustle.

Charged by weight. The food was very cheap but the drinks were a little more costly. Water cooler is free to use on the other side of the till.

Very slow service. It took about 40 minutes to clear the plates from the table.

The set main for £13 was nice but a little plain.

Quite sweet

16 Sep 2010

Tucked away in a side street off one of Viennas less touristy, but equally busy, districts. Very pleasant staff, one of the two spoke very good English. We choose two seitan-filled pittas which were delicious and filling. Extensive range of drinks and all for a reasonable price (cheap for vienna).

+ Vegan cakes!

We wish this place was in London

A good compromise

16 Sep 2010

Copenhagen isn't overflowing with veggie cuisine and it certainly isn't cheap so Riz Raz is a good compromise.

Labelled as a steak house but the buffet is all veggie with a quite impressive selection. Not great for vegans. The beer was really expensive.

Very nice replica meat vegan dishes. Would have liked to see more dishes which weren't meat imitations but they were all very convincing and tasty.

Set menus for two cost about 35 Euro. English menus available and staff spoke good english.

Veggie Fast Food

16 Sep 2010

As a veggie you sometimes miss pigging out and having a huge greasy burger and chips. Yellow Sunshine fills that gap brilliantly (the gap in your tummy).

Located in the hipster saturated neighbourhood of Kreuzberg. Cheap. Good service. Benches with umbrellas outside.
