Separate Vegan Menu!
We were too late for "Super Happy Fun Time" (Zheng's version of happy hour), but our food was wonderful and I am happy to say they have a separate menu for vegan customers. Often we want to believe that vegetable dishes at Asian are vegan, but they often are prepared with animal products to give them flavor. The food was delicious, clean and the broccoli was cooked to perfection! They brought brown rice, even though I forgot to request it. I understand they have happy hour with several vegan options available for the frugal vegetarian. Oh, almost forgot the free edamame appetizer was delicious--prepared without added fat.

From Frown to Happy Face
Visiting for a bridge tournament. My friend is an omnivore and was very disappointed to hear that there was no meat in "chicken", "pork", "beef" or "fish" dishes. I offered to leave (as he has been so good about making sure the places we have eaten previously had something I could eat. Turns out his Chow Mein was delicious (it had a "meat" that he said "tasted real". He would have never known if they hadn't told him. My pumpkin, tofu and eggplant curry was tasty and hot!

No reservation and little time. It took us a while to find it despite the help from Siri. When I called, they said we would have to sit at the bar, but they ended up giving us a table. It was 5:30 on a Tuesday and it looked like Saturday night. My pumpkin risotto was delicious and I ate every bite! Justine was a great waiter, darling and knowledgable. It is not often that I have the problem of deciding what to order (usually I am lucky to have one vegan choice)--his recommendation was perfect! A restaurant for all vegan restaurants to aspire to.
