Grest place, but a little inconsistent
19 Nov 2011
I've eaten here several time & it is great to have a good vegetarian restaurant in the north valley. While I enjoy the food, it can be a little inconsistent. Recently took out of town visitors to dinner, and while my kitchari was tasty & served quickly, it was 20 minutes later that my guests were served their food. One had ordered a quinoa salad without onions (due to an allergy) and the other ordered a quesadilla. What they finally received was a salad with onions and a small cheese pizza. The counterman apologized & came back 10 minutes later with the quesadilla. In consideration of the error he also brought four free vegan cookies. Our guests were very unimpressed & not pleased with the experience.

Great new addition to Abq's vegan restaurants
12 May 2014
Had a lovely lunch at NuAsia today - miso soup (complimentary!), green papaya salad, and a Thai iced tea. The service was prompt & friendly, and the food! Presentation was beautiful and was only exceeded by the quality & taste of the food.
The place itself is charming & fairly upscale (for Abq), though the prices are very reasonable. There's easy parking behind the restaurant, which is also where the entrance is. Two handicapped parking spaces available, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, except I didn't think to check out the restroom for accessibility. It's a fairly recent building (constructed within the last 10 years?) so I suspect they are also ADA compliant.
All in all, I will be returning soon with friends in tow to try more of the menu items. The only reason I'm not giving them an excellent rating today is that I want to try more of their dishes first! Definitely worth a visit.

Cute place, tasty food

This place was a lifesaver as work required me to stay in Las Cruces for a couple of days. The menu is Mediterranean, and while there weren't any labelled vegan dishes, the counter staff was very friendly and immediately asked the cooks about vegan options when I asked for some guidance. I had a bowl of lentil soup with pita and a side of dolmas. The soup was yummy & the pita nice & warm. There were enough dolmas for me to eat some then take a few back to my hotel for snacking later. All in all, I'd recommend this restaurant, though it's a bit pricy for me. My meal + lemonade ran just over $11.

Great food - worth repeat visits!

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon around 1:30pm. The restaurant was nicely busy, with just a few vacant tables. Service was friendly and professional. In addition to the bowl of curry, there were two small "egg" rolls, a green salad and a side of brown rice. A Thai iced tea complimented the meal nicely. My check, with tip, ran around $10, which seemed entirely reasonable for the amount of food and a bargain for the quality. The chef passed through the small dining area and received my very grateful compliments with genuine warmth. I will definitely return for more soon, and can even see my non-vegan friends enjoying the wide array of choices on the menu.

Pleasant, helpful clerks

Stopped by a couple of times in the past week - staff was very helpful and friendly. Wide variety of veg/vegan choices. I especially like that they don't have open bulk bins, instead the chain prefers to pre-pack bulk foods, with very clear date marking. Many grains, nuts, flours, etc. are kept in refrigerated cases which is awesome! Fresh produce looked very good, and it's a small but diverse selection. About half the store is supplements. A month or so ago there were union pickets out front, but i know nothing about their labor situation.
