More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
It started out of compassion for animals. As a bonus, veggie food is tastier, my palate is clean and my conscience is clear.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I have used Happycow for years. I used to write reviews before when an account was not required. But I decided to become a member in 2012 after a bad experience in Paris: the restaurant came highly recommended but we thought the food was terrible and I needed to warn others about it.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Portland and San Francisco are vegan Meccahs. I would love to go to Australia and New Zealand, as well as Berlin, which seems to have quite the vegan following.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I just LOVE kale, all sorts of them. I can eat kale for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mushrooms, arugula and tomatoes are also favourites of mine. I make a mean vegan lasagna and vegan onion and mushroom quiche. I also love making smoothies and soups in my Vitamix!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I am into cookbooks but I don't really follow recipes, I like to put my own flavours into food. I have a pretty big collection of Vegnews, which I often refer to.
