More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I feel lighter more calm and at peace when I eat a plant based diet. Im currently a vegetarian transitioning into veganism. There is little guilt or "bad karma" when we eat plants and starches (especially if you buy from local markets or grow your own). Unlike many vegans I have not seen any documentaries like forks over knives or cowspiracy, I feel like I dont need to be shocked into this lifestyle, I know industrial farming not only kills billions of animals but it is ruining our ecosystem and produces massive carbon footprint. its just all round bad stuff.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I needed ways to enjoy eating out without annoying my non vegan non vegetarian friends and to find great local places to eat around melbourne

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I love making colourful dishes. I recently made a rainbow vegan pizza with a bunch of veggies and it was awesome. I love a simple avocado and tomato on sourdough, smoothies and nice-cream, vegie lasagnas, green tea flavoured everything! falafels, alkalizing foods and bitter tart greens like rocket dandelion greens, spinach... the list goes on! Being greek I'm also trying to perfect a vegan tzatziki.. because i miss it too much!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
