Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Was vegetarian for eight years, but switched to vegan on January 1, 2013. My cholesterol dropped 40% since going vegan. Also lost 53 pounds (243 to 190). All in 6 months. Check out www (dot) heartattackproof (dot) com. This is the book that Bill Clinton read after his second heart surgery, which led him to become vegan. My parents have been vegan for 3-4 months and lost 20+ lbs and reduced their diabetic insulin usage by about 50%.. Google "Dr. Neal Barnard diabetes" for more info.
