More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I am a vegan because 1) It's good for me 2) It's good for animals 3) I know I am helping the world everytime I eat, which is a great feeling.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I joined HappyCow because I'm sick of eating fried white rice (the only thing many non-veg restaurants can cook for me). At HappyCow I can find restaurants that I would never have found on my own, all over the world.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I have traveled the world for many years, by boat down the Amazon, by bus through Central and South America, by train through Europe, and all over southeast Asia. I haven't been to Africa or India yet, but it is only a matter of time.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I really love trying new kinds of foods from different countries. Some of my favorites are Ethiopian, Thai, and Indian, but often a good ol' avocado, tomato, and lettuce sandwich hits the spot.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Diet for a new America, Mad Cowboy, Anything by Sproutman--Sprouts and Wheatgrass are what keep me ticking, Mad Magazine, and any movie with Adam Sandler in it.(Laughing is really good for you)
