Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I don't believe I have the right to eat, wear, control, abuse or disrespect any other animal - human or non-human - and I feel I am a more evolved human by not doing so.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I love eating. I love travelling. I need to find places to eat around the world. I also like contributing my views on places I've eaten.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
New York, San Francisco, London, Glasgow, Lanzarote & Spain, LA, France, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand - all visited. I'd like to go to Costa Rica, South America, Africa and Paraguay.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Cake!! I like cheesecake (preferably chocolate). I love curry, pasta, pizza, Mexican food, tapas, roast dinners, wraps, soup, salads and pretty much anything vegan and tasty. I am happy to eat 'meat substitutes', e.g. burgers, rashers, some of the time. Used to love Sosmix and very sad it went. I also love tofu in all its many, many forms.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Favourite authors are Margaret Atwood, Sarah Waters, Jeanette Winterson, Stephen King, George Orwell.
