I've been a Pesco-vegetarian for about 3 years and have recently cut out the seafood. My ultimate goal is to be full Vegan, so I'm working on it one day at a time.

More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

It's healthier for our bodies and better for our planet. I also don't condone eating animals when we can live just as healthy and happily without USING them for our own pleasures.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Looking to find more vegetarian / vegan places around.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I LOVE hummus!!! I can't ever get enough of it, and falafel is my "big mac". I've always been a veggie & fruit lover, and since becoming vegetarian have taking a huge liking to black beans and lentils. And to get my "hot wings" fix, I just saute up some of Smart Life's "chicken" style strips with a bit of my favorite hot sauce... mmmm! It's delicious and satisfies my craving in a friendly way!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Anyone who is vegetarian or vegan, or considering this lifestyle has to see EARTHLINGS, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. It's one of the most eye opening films I've ever seen. There are parts that can be quite graphic so I wouldn't recommend anyone to allow children under 13 see it, but it really shows you what our society has become and it's really sad.
