Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

It is possible for me to be completely nourished & well, without consuming any meat. Therefore, i have no real need to eat it. And without an actual need, any reason i did have for eating meat would never be able to justify the death or torture of another living creature. I particularly like this quote from Leo Tolstoy to sum up my views: "A man can live & be healthy without killing animals for food; therefore, if he eats meat, he participates in taking animal life merely for the sake of his appetite. And to act so is immoral." Aside from my beliefs about animal rights, i also follows a vegetarian diet for it's social, envionmental & health benefits. I simply feel better eating a vegetarian diet. I have more energy, i rarely get sick & i feel nourished & well.
