You really got me confused!
They are the most famous restaurant nationwide for their series of vegetarian cooking books.
Here is where they talk about thei vegetarian credo:

Did you mean they are not 100% VEGAN, because they seem as vegetarian as it can get to me?

Sorry for bothering you! I feel so embarrassed for never being there, though I lived 4 blocks away.
We are planning a NY trip and was checking the vegetarian restaurants in the state and was surprised it wasn't showing as surprised to see it wasn't showing up as one.

I mean exactly what I say. The meny changes daily, and while the majority of their items will be veg, there is no guarantee that all of them will be veg. As all the reviews say, as well as the restaurant's website, it is not a 100% veg restaurant. But it puts many 100% veg restaurants to shame.
