Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
ethical, environmental, personal // I came onto this lifestyle with an eating disorder and from then on found out all the other reasons bigger than me to stay on it, despite being the only one in my family. I don't think that everyone should be vegetarian/vegan, but I do believe in a responsibility we all have in our (food) choices. There's a huge positive difference we can make once we understand the impact we can make on our society's ethics and our environment.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love my hometown Austin, Texas, where I spent my childhood - the BBQ is scary, but pools and the laid-back, cool Austin culture is for me borderline majestic. I've come to love Taiwan, as well, where I grew up - the green and seaside and friendliness there I've come to associate with home, and I love how quickly and sustainably (overall) the island is progressing. The Bay Area in California is really quite nice, too (though expensive!) - so many veg options here. // I really want to visit Europe and Africa one day.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
almost all fruits (I'll spare you the long list), oats, sweet potatoes, sushi bowls

The "Earthlings" documentary always serves as a good reminder. Youtubers like Kalel, Bonny Rebecca, and (formerly) Essena O'Neill spread the message well, too c:
