- The Matrix cannot tell you who you are. Introvert. Sarcastic. Activities/Interests: I stay busy so the only activities I really get to choose are things like beer and pool and stand up comedy (watching, not performing) on the rare occasions I have enough free time at once to enjoy them. I used to do a lot of dog rescue stuff but we are at our limit now so that's now a depressing topic as opposed to an interest. I like science and reading about science topics I don't know much about. I also like to write, mostly about education and stuff I do know about. I do some stuff for charity but I don't really want to talk about because that feels self-serving but there's some kind of weird social pressure I feel to let people know I too value such things. I suppose I like people watching. I often feel like an anthropologist studying a foreign culture because I'm an atheist liberal in Mississippi. Music: I like lots of different songs but I'm not really into one particular artist. So What, If I Were a Boy, I Kissed a Girl, California Love, New York Groove, Mambo No. 5, Miami, Daft Punk's One More Time, Sade's Smooth Operator, How You Like Me Now, Tick Tock, Superfreak, Books: I mostly get books read for purposes other than pleasure. These days I don't even know who I'd read for fun anymore. Back when I did have time I read stuff like Bright Lights, Big City or a Dean Koontz. I have read the major atheist tomes but only Hitchens was actually fun. Movies: I like action movies like the Bond flicks. I loved Iron Man 2, I liked the first one but the second was so much more. I like the Bourne movies and Shaun of the Dead is probably my favorite next to Iron Man 2. Television: NCIS, Bones, Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, and Burn Notice. I used to do a lot more non fiction like NOVA and politics like Maddow. I still like them, but I'm just too tired and frustrated with it all these days.
