More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I wanted to make more conscious choices about what I put into my body, and my environmental footprint. Becoming vegetarian, for me, was not initially about animal rights but as I move along the path I am more aware of how our culinary choices have almost a chaos effect on the environment and other living creatures. A vegetarian diet helps me focus on a more healthful whole-food approach to meals, eating locally grown fare in it's pure form. I am healthier, happier, and a better role model for my child as a result.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I travel a lot for work and pleasure, so finding restaurants ahead of time is important to my enjoyment of the trip and often eases the "what to feed the vegetarian" delimma that often occurs during group outings. HappyCow has never steered me wrong!

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I make the most out of anyplace I visit, but Italy, specifically Cinque Terra ranks really high up. I would love to return since my first visit was pre-vegetarian, to see if I enjoy it as much from a culinary standpoint.
