Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I think it's crazy that something would have to die for my enjoyment or entertainment. I reserve the act of killing only as a last resort for defense of myself or innocent victims.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I've found this site to be a great resource for finding food when travelling to new places. Maybe its a good way to make friends too.. We'll see =)
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I'm fortunate to have grown-up in one of the best places on Earth: BC, Canada. I'm adventurous and I'd go just about anywhere. I've been to India, Western Europe, Mexico, Belize, all over the West coast of the US and some other US states.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
pesto, smoothies, guacamole, dosas, fresh pasta, veggie fried rice, vegan tom yum soup, veggie poutine, rice noodles, Indian & Thai curried vegetables, anything Mexican, grilled veggies, chinese/taiwanese "veggie meats", fried eggs (unfertilized & free-range only), peaches, apricots, berries, random Asian fruit... Almost anything without a face!
