Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I've been veg 28 yrs, vegan 24. I don't want cross contamination nor do I want to support mixed restaurants if I have the choice of a vegan restaurant in the area.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
This site is a great source of places to eat, wherever you are! I also sometimes cut & paste the info when a friend is going to be somewhere, so I can help they stay on a healthy track.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Love the ocean thus I love the CA coastline, Maui, & Kaui. I would love to visit Costa Rica. I hear it's gorgeous.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I like to keep it simple, low fat & whole, I don't like the addition of alot of oddly matched ingredients.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
For dog lovers: the movies Hachi & Frankenweenie; the books A Dog's Purpose & Animals & the Afterlife. Other fave movies is the Julie Delphy/Ethan Hawke series: Before Sunrise & Before Sunset. Before Midnight is now in the theatres. Other fave movies include Wedding Date, In My Shoes, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
