More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have always felt a special connection to animals and their suffering. Perhaps it is because we all share the same Earth and feel it's consequences in our own physicality similarly that I believe we all lay equal claim to it. Perhaps it is because people have evolved to a level of consciousness which is too much for our own good. Or, perhaps it is wrong to violently take life unnecessarily for our own if there exists another way, even if that means taking a multi-vitamin.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I like to share my thoughts, but mostly with those who have the ear to listen.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I have loved every place I have been in some respect. Each destination provides a unique perspective on what life could be day to day. I have found the most beauty and intrigue in the most destitute and barren of landscapes, such as The Salton Sea in the Colorado Desert. Salvation mountain was an incredible accidental find that taught me how astonishing human creation can be. There isn't one place I would like to visit more than the other, I would like to see as much as possible.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I thoroughly enjoy pasta of any kind normally with tempeh. Lately I've been exploring the wonders of tempeh through adding various sauces and experimenting with flavors such as :Marsala Tempeh, BBQ Tempeh, Coconut Tempeh, Pesto Tempeh etc. No shrimp tempeh of course ; )
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
The Vegan Source Book is great ( well named) resource for those curious about veganism or those wanting to become more educated about it's practice. I personally enjoy reading about the paranormal mostly. What I have learned through studies regarding past lives and spirituality have furthered me down my path toward total enlightenment and consciousness.
