Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

All the reasons!, and there must be 1,000. I hate killing animals because I love them and it's not necessary; I don't like the way they are killed and raised and pumped full of chemicals either.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I look forward to meeting up and contacting people with similar philosophies and lifesteyles.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I've been many places on Earth and enjoy where I've lived: Alaska mostly, New Mexico, and now I live in northern Thailand. I like Japan, Holland, France and Guatemala too. San Francisco, Tokyo, Boulder, Istanbul, NYC, Whitehorse, Amsterdam are all great cities to experience. HHhmmm, then there is Kona, in Hawaii. I'm still waiting to see the depths of Burma and Viet Nam, and the Great Barrier Reef.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I just love them little soy sausages and actually anything tofu. Soy ice cream is so sensual! I make some killer Thai food and New Mexican food (used to have a small rest.), but I just love to visit other vegetarian restaurants and check out other specialties (with some quality red wine too of course).
