Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Too many people just eat without thinking. If they saw where that meat came from, the conditions the animals are under, how they are killed etc it would be hard for many of them to keep it up. I know I couldn't, so I went veg at 14.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I have visited Happy Cow hundreds of times. Every time I go to a new place I check out where I can eat. I love to hear about new "vegan breakthroughs" like marshmallows and meringue! And love to hear about new restaurants and bakeries I can visit one day...

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Been: NYC, dunes anywhere, PDX, old cinemas and drive ins, Food Fight, Voodoo Donuts, Proper Eats, Oaks Park, Food Swings, Vegan Treats, Gilman, ABCNORIO, Marvin's Mechanical Museum, etc. Like to: Side Car and Mighty O Doughnuts in Seattle, New Zealand, "South Seas", Edward Gory's House, Hostile in a Forest, etc etc.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Mashed Potatoes/gravy/corn/pan fried tofu, raw "mashed potatoes", Sweets From the Earth cheezecake, perogies, baba ganouche, Proper Eats' tempeh rueben, raw sweet potato pie, my chocolate gingerbread cookies, Magic Oven make yer own pizza..
