More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Animal exploitation and slaughter to me, is barbaric! I will not give money to this industry! And I find it very sad that people make excuses that human's started out as Hunter Gatherer's & all that, MANY years ago, maybe. Theres obviously a lot wrong with the "Animal user industry" (which I think is a good way of saying it), so I don't understand how so many people that are suppose to have feelings for other people could not have some compassion for another animal! Panda bears really can do Kung Fu, no dissin' them animals!!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I am not new to HappyCow, I had an old profile, so my date of joining is a little wrong. I joined early in 2008 with my old profile because I was a new Vegan and I was looking forward to finding some new online friends and talking about vegan stuff and animal rights. Its really cool having friends with this stuff in common and sharing the same humour.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
So many nice looking places, I wouldn't know where to start. Maybe somewhere Tropical with beaches and lots of markets and free Vegan testers to nibble. I haven't traveled as a Vegan before.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love food, what can I say. 200 words? I like most things and I am open to trying new things except an animal of course. Ugh. People think they're so "strong" because they tried something from an animal unusal to them like an elephant or a brit going on about how awesome they are because they tried some tropical forest animals tougue or something and we rarely have things like this in certain countries (well u can get slices of tongue in packets. I have read about this kind of thing people do from tv programmes and magazines like it was a challenge, heh). Since when was any flesh different (like from chicken breast for example)? hahaha. Disgusting! Anyway I don't know what that had to do with me but I felt like sharing that. Veganism rules.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Films: Earthlings, Meet your meat, Animal Liberation. Theres a lot of good books and magazines and other films about Veganism and animal rights, so I recommend you use Search engines and websites like this to search for more. I would like to know more good films myself. YouTube have a lot of good free stuff too.
