Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I never was a meat lover growing up but ate it because I was told to. It was a huge battle on Sunday night family dinner night. I never wanted to eat what the family ate. The whole family eats meat but I can't stand the smell of the blood or the meat when it's cooking. Then I became friends with a couple people that are vegetarian and they introduced me to all kinds of yummy food and food that is better for me than what I was eating before.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I thought it would be a good way to meet some fellow vegetarians. Not so many of them were I live. I really don't get to travel abroad, (horses keep my tied down) but I travel around different places within Ontario and some places in the U.S. going to horseshows so I thought this site would be helpful to me.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I have travelled around southern Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. I have also been to New York, Kentucky and Florida. I also have gone to England a couple times. I would love to go back to England, go to Ireland, travel around Europe and Australia. I'd like to go to some different states in the U.S. that I haven't already been too as well.
