Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Until this year I had been veggie for 16 years. I had always thought about becoming vegan but really though it would be too difficult. Earlier this year I decided that if I believed in something then it being difficult shouldn't stop me doing it so I took the leap. I have to say it's harder than I htough but definately worth it.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I had gound the site when looking for veggie places to eat in Paris. I found it really useful so thought it was only fair that I gave my opinion too!

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I'm going to Austria in a few weeks which is really exciting as I've wanted to visit Innsbruck since I was about 8 years old. I would also love to do a fly-drive' around USA.

Hmm my local Chinese takeaway does a vegan Beancurd with Green Peppers in Black Bean sauce. It's so amazing I can't describe it.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

I probably couldn't recommend individual books but as far as authors go I like a range - Jodi Picoult, Karin Slaughter, Paulo Cohelo to name but a few. As for magazines I love Scarlet (a british magazine for women) and there are far too many movies to mention. In the last year I would recommend District 13, Pans Labyrinth, The Holiday, Happy Feet and a Scanner Darkly.
