I think many people are surprised to find a Vegetarian Trucker NON smoker but my father was a Smoker , Drinker , poor eating habit , Meat eating kinda guy and died at 49 Y/O and I didn't want to be like him . Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
It started with a del to meat packing plant. I am a trucker and the look on the live stocks face going into the processing plant since that day I couldn't eat chicken again . I also saw the same look on cows being loaded onto a trailer going to plants for processing well they always seem to have the same look they KNOW . So i gave up red meat and figured may as well give all MEATS . Fish , Chicken , Red Meat . well you get it . And my wife who barely ate meats anyway very green plant eater already was totally on board so we made it 3 years and LOVE it . Can't tell you how many living things we have saved from the Slater house but i'm sure its at LEAST ONE and that's good enough for us 8)
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Find like minded peeps, restaurants , towns , city's States places on the go with the App and we have for sure .
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Shopping at Natures Pantry New Windsor NY , Been all up and down East coast from Canada to Southern Florida only as far as West as WV , But would love to travel WEST to CA 8) we heard they have a great Veg/ Vegan life style out West . And wouldn't want to die before we go to Europe say UK, France , Spain , Italy , Not a bad dream .
