Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
All the reasons. Health prompted me to go vegan originally (I'd been a vegetarian for 5 years prior), but the ethical and environmental reasons constantly reinforce my commitment to this lifestyle.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
HappyCow just seemed like an awesome online resource. I travel a lot, move around a lot, and I love eating out so I was really happy when I found this site.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I've lived in Chicago, Terra Haute (IN), New Orleans, and Savannah. I've traveled sporadically throughout the states though. I would love to live abroad one day...
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
aw man... so much. Um... dates, watermelon, grapes, strawberries, bananas, and mangoes are a daily staple for me. I try to follow a Raw till 4 diet and so these are usually what I'm eating throughout the day.... I absolutely love veggie sushi, veggie garbage pastas, and an awesome vegan pizza here or there.. my all time favorite regional cuisine would have to be middle eastern.. I honestly think I could do hummus, grape leaves, babaganoush (and hookah : P ) any day of the week.
